You are absolutely right Simon, democracy does not exist, maybe it once did but right now all it is, is an illusion.
A thought provoking episode
Love what you’ve discussed here about keeping government accountable and responsible to our currencies by letting them know if they mismanage the currency we’ll very well adopt a different one and to me Sats should be the way to go.

Like what you’ve said about fighting for liberty and not democracy, but if democracy is the the way to liberty then yes,m. However doesn’t seem like democracy is working, countries are practicing an illusion of democracy but not democracy in its true meaning.
Seeing as we’re in a Democracy, if we the people decide we no longer want fiat as our legal tender but bitcoin, shouldn’t the government be compelled to go with it? Isn’t that true ‘Democracy’? I don’t remember reading anywhere in history books that the people chose fiat, but a group of power and money hungry pundits sat down and decided this for us, without our consent. We definitely did not consent to this.
We’re gradually slipping into a subscription economy, we’ll overtime own nothing and have to pay a lifetime for everything we utilize. Insanity! Get me a vintage vehicle.

Quite accurate, we grew up brainwashed and lied to. Near everything we were told was good for us we’ve had to discover was the contrary, from money to food, freedom and democracy, pharmaceuticals, the water we drink etc.

Interesting view about AI going for the knowledge worker but not the blue collar worker such as plumbing and electrical. It’s however worth mentioning certain portion of the blue collar have already been automated as was seen with manufacturing, there are also AI tools being developed to handle specific aircraft maintenance inspections.
Well identified, unfortunately we have no vote or say into what happens to our currency, how democratic. Money gets printed out when the powers that be deem fit, with no consideration on its effect on the populace.
