Here for the signal. ⚡️

It is time for me to say thank you to two of my favorite thinkers / educators in the #bitcoin space:

#[1] and #[2]

The ideas and content that you guys produce is just so valuable for me.

Preston got me thinking about bitcoin and the finance side of things and Gigi got me to think deeply about the rabbit hole in a technical and philosophical way.

So here is one of my favorite conversations, between the two:

The latest book I finished:

The Lessons of History

-by Will and Ariel Durant

A small book with big lessons. I spent at least as much time thinking about it as reading it. In my opinion well worth the time.

There are to many good quotes and ideas to choose from, but what stuck with me the most was:

“If a man is fortunate he will, before he dies, gather up as much as he can of his civilized heritage and transmit it to his children.”

Value, in my mind, is always achieved through scarcity, because it is something that is hard to obtain.

Something is scarce because you need either a lot of work, a lot of time or both to get it.

Tools like that should raise the minimum productivity level.

Classic! 😂

🎯 My favorite quote by Oscar Wilde is:

“Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.”

It always resonated with me. I think #nostr and #bitcoin brings people back to a value based mindset - low time preference.

When you finish the book, I would like to know your (and everyone else’s) thoughts on what the different outcomes of the tragedy’s might mean to you. Especially what we should learn from it, to prepare for the future that is to come.

BTW #bookstr helps others to find these books and discussions.
