I get that. Same goes for Bitcoiner. I love hanging out with them.
But I really want to tell people about these solutions (Nostr / Bitcoin), so they also have the opportunity to opt for them.
Just like someone once told me about them. My life changed so much for the better. I want that opportunity for everyone.
We should build bridges though. Otherwise we are just talking to ourselves.
platform vs public space
For my own understanding, I put this in a physical realm thought experiment:
A public space is a square or agora, if u will.
A platform, let’s call it a stage, is build on such a public space.
People can speak or perform on the square or on the stage. One is permissionless the other is not. It doesn’t tell you anything about the quality of the speaker or performer, if they are on that stage, but it sure directs the attention.
Public spaces give anyone the option to speak or perform. That does not exempt them from consequences of that action of course.
The best part is: I decide to stay and listen or go somewhere else.
All can be said, that doesn’t mean you have to listen. Kind of like #nostr

What if you would require signing with nsec? (No idea if that’s possible just an idea)
I’m just concerned about possible problems with “fake” zaps in the future.

Isn’t that a problem? If it shows up as my zap, but it wasn’t mine, then that would give maybe a different kind of signal (feedback) that I did not intend to give.

In theory you could choose to power boost someone else right? If I would connect my wallet with someone else’s npub?
Then every time he / she likes something I would zap for / as that person.
Is this possible? If so… is that a good thing?
