Not only is Nostr bringing real debate and crowdsourced intelligence searching out both what works and is probably true, it can also be used to buidl on for the future without having to factor in censorship and cancellation!

As a recent user here is some feedback from using nostr - without having yet read the protocol details - here are some unfiltered opinions:
1. having many apps on the same data is very good (This is similar to the #SolidPlatform philosophy)
2. It definitely feels a lot more censorship resistant than Mastodon, which is less open than Twitter now! 3. It is a bit confusing for the moment still
a. Initially I found very few posts on the platform. I had to find out how to open the social network graph much wider
b. Even after posting quite a lot, I found the social interaction is quite dampened for some reason.
c. That may be because some people are posting from other platforms such as Mastodon, so they don't perhaps see the responses given? UIs may need to make that clearer.
d. I am using 4 Browser based UIs that have different advantages and disadvantages, and I find I have to use them all one after another to make sure things are as one shows them to be on the others.
e. I would need a NIP-07 browser plugin that keeps a log of signings, and where I can change preferences. (perhaps that exists). Otherwise how do I know if one App is not just deleting all my Posts? NIP-07 is essential for security.
f. The Mastodon proxy I think creates a key for the toots on Mastodon. So it created a key pair to do that. How does one take over that key, so that the Mastodon intermediary does not end up with the ring that rules them all?
Somewhere with true free speech, is the pressure valve we need

He was the founder and ceo of twitter during the election. During that time the Conservative right was deplatformed, shadowbanned, censored and deleted at the behest of the Biden campaign. Furthermore irrefutable evidence proving that Biden was irredeemably corrupt was buried. These are the details that I am aware of. In a 2 party system, when 1 party is deleted a dictatorship is created. Jack provided the tools and pulled the levers.

Aún no esta claro para mi. Por el momento, la considero orientada principalmente a la expansión del uso de las criptomonedas y la he tomado como un medio de aprendizaje e información para ese fin.
Es un buen filtro el no permitir que se borren las notas, aunque me incomode no poder editar cuando cometo algún error gramatical o de ortografía.
También lo es la posibilidad de re- publicar sin comentario alguno. Desde mi perspectiva, fue un error hacerlo posible en Twitter porque permite que un usuario o el seguidor de un usuario exponga ante sus seguidores a otro usuario, a veces, con resultados desproporcionadamente punitivos. Nadie está libre de cometer errores al expresarse o de leer o desconocer un contexto.

Filtering is a lot of work. Sometimes people don't have the bandwidth. I for one am thankful to the filtered info I received on reddit.

NOSTR has incredibly interesting conversations. Since there is no "fact check" people will soon figure out that you can have real discussions about any topic of interest to you and you can decide who to listen to and who to ignore. You can decide who are the "experts" you trust and who you think is a shill. NOSTR can be extremely successful simply based on free speech! Free speech and freedom of the press are two concepts which have proven to have incredible power pulling people from all over the world to come to the U.S. to escape tyranny. It is ironic that currently there are large numbers of people in the U.S. who favor "censorship" of ideas they claim are harmful. These people have forgotten the lessons learned. People who have lived under communist dictatorships or other oppressive regimes are much stronger proponents of free speech and freedom of the press because they know the alternative. #freespeech #grownostr
