#monero folk. What are your thoughts on Devs like Luke Parker openly going on podcasts revealing way too much information that is clearly a huge attack vector for himself and the whole project.

Is it not better to be building quietly for obvious reasons or am I missing something?

no, it opts for an unlimited supply with the restriction of 0.6 new Monero for every new block. its about 432 new coins per day forever. the current inflation rate is ~0.85% and will continue to drop in the future as those 432 new coins per day make up less and less of the total supply. at 18.4 million coins (where we are now) inflation is 0.85696%. at 20 million that will be 0.7883%, at 25 million it will be 0.63072%, and so on. it will never hit absolute zero but will come close enough to be totally insignificant. the reason for this is to replace lost coins from key mismanagement, etc.

There are zero ways it is worse than bitcoin. So anything bitcoin does Monero does better.

OK, managed to build monero-wallet-cli, still no success with GUI.

#monero is losing the race of shitcoins so badly that in two years time, you may have to go to page 2 of CoinMarketCap.com to find it.

Because #monero maxis have infiltrated #nostr, they are constantly shit talking #btc and trying to lure newbies into their hot potato shitcoin.

It's not a perfect medium of exchange, it's fiat money on digital rails, and it's losing in every metric imaginable, obviously.

We #bitcoiners are trying to fix the world, and all you monero people seem to care about is darknet markets, everytime we debate it always comes up.

I've just setup my kids with their own personal wallets and we will be sending them sats weekly for their allowance.
