Muscadines in Fall

Such an aggressive nation...

Yeah, but it's bigger than Biden. Got to give the Republicans their fair share.

I believe in the separation of money and state because debt-based, inflationary money forces otherwise biblically-minded people to value spending over saving. #separationofmoneyandstate

Thanks to some analysis from our intern nostr:npub17plqkxhsv66g8quxxc9p5t9mxazzn20m426exqnl8lxnh5a4cdns7jezx0 , according to opt-in AppStore analytics one of the biggest issues with Damus is user retention. 99% of people stop using damus after 6 months.

In the next version we will be looking at ways to get mores users to that β€œah ha” moment that gets them to stick around like all of us addicts.

Ideas welcome! Notifications is obviously a big one, but maybe we could make it easier to get people their first sats.

I feel like I just see things as they are posting, which is cool, but I also want to see some trending topics over the last several hours in which I wasn't logged in.

Is there a way of automatically searching posts that have gotten more interaction and interspersing them in my feed?

This seems true.

Have you read Paralandria? Powerful depiction of the eschatological reality where the person becomes their sin and fully enemy.

When I was growing up finding out someone was a "Draft Dodger" meant they were a selfish coward.

I realize now how much that was a propagandized mindset. If you can't muster an army, then obviously the people aren't behind your desire for war. What is more democratic than not entering a war that your people are unwilling to fight?

I think most of us would stand together to defend our homes, our neighborhoods, our states, and our borders if called upon. But to trust the perverse men who run this nation to value human life and righteousness more than their Raytheon stock is a bridge too far.

If they get their long-awaited war with Iran, I strongly suspect we'll lose. I think the Muslim world is stronger than the Post-Christian West. Even Russia with its tiny GDP wasn't quickly crushed like we were assured they would be.

That phenomenon that we thought was the pendulum swing of our Federal government between Republican and Democrat every 8 years or so, was really the Left and Right foot steps of a lumbering, consuming, and growing beast.

Germany has a vibrant and enthusiastic community with many Bitcoin-only podcasts and YouTube channels. The nostr:npub122pnqy3sxlnghaxarll4rywx2jy5d2vf2a52pdguzmdea4wlupesdpvsgz is educating many people and nostr:npub1qv02xpsc3lhxxx5x7xswf88w3u7kykft9ea7t78tz7ywxf7mxs9qrxujnc managed to grow a meetup scene in over 150 german-speaking cities. Many hardcore plebs doing on-the-ground work, giving workshops and pushing the Bitcoin-only vibe.

Politicians over here are simply crazy, catering to many socialist tendencies, which have increased for a longer time.

That's fantastic!

I'd heard they were experiencing quite a bit of inflation right now as well. Of course the entire world is. I'd heard that they were experiencing somewhat worse inflation though.

Is that correct?

I'm glad somebody's on my wavelength.

I think we are, on Christ's timeline, moving in a trajectory of freedom.

Jesus keeps giving mankind gifts that make oppression harder and harder. He gave us the printing press, the revolver, the internet. I believe, looking back, people will see 3D printed guns and Bitcoin as all part of the revolution of the internet.

We should be subject to authorities, but mankind is greedy for power. Fiat money is an invention which greedy men have used to become incredibly powerful. It is temporary, and Christ is bringing it to an end.

I think we are headed on a trajectory toward a world in which a society much like ancient Israel makes sense. No need for police. If you see someone violate the law, it's your duty (along with other witnesses) to pull out your pistol and drive them to the elders at the gates for an immediate trial and corporal sentencing. The elders will no longer spend their retirement at Hardee's complaining about the government, but will have real authority.

We happen to live under such a vile and bloated government, and this vision is so close to what the anarchists imagine, that I find then incredibly useful. I love Michael Malice, Dave Smith, and our brother, Tom Woods.

If we lived in a hyper bitcoinized world, I would probably find myself opposing anarchists, but, in the world we live in now, we are cobeligerants.

Jesus said give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. I take this to mean taxes are legitimate.

God repeatedly condemns unjustice weights and measures. That's what money printing is. Initially we trusted banks with so much gold, but the government kept changing the value of the money. We trust them with the value of our labor, but they trick us out of that value by counterfeiting it. This is not taxation, but theft.

I don't even agree with the common Reformed view that Romans 13’s description of governments bearing the sword is intended to be exhaustive. Governments may try to do other things, like build roads.

Without their counterfeiting machines, however, I think governments would be severely limited to only a few very important functions. #Bitcoinfixesthis
