Depends on the repayment terms, interest rate, and availability of secure leverage options for investing the % of the total I felt comfortable at the time I guess.
My Grandpa had a dog kill a chicken once so he tied the chicken to the dog’s collar and left it there for about two weeks. The dog surprisingly never touched another one. I’m not saying it was the right way to deal with the situation, but there were other dogs that just ended up at the tree line for good. Old days old ways
You’re the man. Thanks for the chuckle this early cold Alberta morning. 🤙🏽
Well good way to get shot
I think the powers that be are pretty invested in hyping anything that makes people fearful of getting away from fiat food. I see that the ministry this year, in addition to wanting me to fill out my “mandatory” harvest reporting, also wants me to participate in a survey about how my wild game consumption. They can suck it.

I think I’m just going to convert the overpriced hot tub we bought 10 years ago whose entire motherboard cabinet flamed out in spectacular fashion last winter, about a month after I made the last payment on it. The absolute worst consumer purchase I’ve ever made. I should have bought a quad or a side by side instead while I had the chance. I figure with the purchase price, cost of borrowing, repair visits, parts, chemicals and power consumption, that now dead waste of space ended up costing me about $25,000. I’m seriously considering spraying foaming the jet holes, filling it with dirt, and adding to my growing space.
*Rogue not “rouge”. Rouge is French for “red”.
Very cool. I wonder if there are eventually going to have to go to an advertising model to fund their business.
Macrium Reflect free version and an external 3TB are a Godsend.
In reaction to @kidwarp ‘s post about our need to stop trying to explain Bitcoin to people when they ask what it is, I was thinking about simple one liners to use when asked the question. Here’s one:
“It’s an alternate form of money that the banks and government can’t steal.”
Here’s the removable panel for the shutoffs. I needed about 3” of clearance for the hoses and plug so I made 1.5” blocks for the wall and the back of the panel then inset magnets so everything snaps and stays in places. #grownost #diy #woodworking https://video.nostr.build/9df3fb1ff4f443b5d7eb942bf845cbf6d61a3a0a871008c8895044f40177f190.mp4
Every time I make something with that type of fit and finish my wife says she thinks I might be a serial killer lol. That’s impressive man. Even the wooden surface accents line up with the panel above.
Just finished some little mounts for my axes. I like magnets 🧲

Badass.
Good point. I’ll never forget the look of amazement that my wife had on her face when I sent her $20 worth of Sats to her Muun wallet. The first money she has ever had that was never touched by a bank.
There is likely an attachment point you can use up on the center support for your damper. You just have to make sure you do it in a way that doesn’t affect the operation of the flap. One fun thing to do is have a stew pot that is refrigerated or outside much of the time that gets broth, veggies, game meat and other ingredients added to it as it gets consumed, forever changing but always on hand as a hot meal. Sometimes you have to change pots and you just need to be wary of repeated heating and cooling and its effect on bacteria growth. Basic foodsafe principles.
That’s cool. I recently set up our fireplace so we can quickly transition to cooking on it when needed. Since these pictures were taken I set it up so that the Dutch oven can be raised and lowered from a point outside of the doors on a steel chain. When I was a kid, we used to get 3 to 4 day power outages occasionally, and our entire family would simply move our beds down into the living room and make an adventure out of it. It was great.
