Well, that's not entirely true. There is such a thing as a type of cryptography that is resistant to attack with quantum computers. It's just, what's the best way to do that? It's just math.
Well, we know what sorts of math we use for encryption now, primarily all cryptography is based on the prime factorization problem, and we know that an algorithm, Shor's algorithm, can do that in less than exponential time on a quantum computer. We know what class of problems that is, and we know that any algorithm that can solve a problem in that class can be modified to solve all problems in that class and then more. So we know what classes of problems cannot be solved using a solution to one of those, and we know enough about the math with quantum computers and those problems that we can say probably some set of math problems cannot be solved efficiently on a quantum computer. So we pick those math problems, develop cryptography based on them and test it out.

Nostr itself doesn't host the videos, they're hosted via http just like everywhere else. Your note cannot be censored, but that link can be taken down easily.
A magnet link would probably be better.
Well the theory goes that Israel developed nukes and keeps it a secret because the US will stop all military aid as per the international non proliferation agreement.
Either is entirely plausible, which is what Israel wants, whatever the truth is about it. Do we have nukes? You decide. It's scary to enemies, on the one hand they get the deterrent without developing them, on the other they have them but still get US aid.
I've got a gripe.
If you use tools that automatically emoji react all your replies, I'm not gonna follow you. You're follower chasing and it's off putting. I don't care how interesting the things you say are. I don't want to interact with bots pretending to be people.
If your account is a promotional bot, and it automatically emoji reacts random accounts to gain reach, I'm not just gonna block you, I'm gonna filter your name. I'll never see a thing you say, from any npub you have. I don't care how interesting your product is.
Don't spam my notifications with garbage.
Oh OK. Some community member Thats not pokkst (or me, or you 😉)
Well that's good. I quite like mysu, I hope this fork continues to be maintained.
I wonder if the maintainer would be interested in implementing a transaction signing API, much like Amber does for nostr events or lightning wallets do, but for xmr transactions. That would greatly simplify creating a mobile nostr client that allows for Monero tipping, you wouldn't have to integrate a wallet like garnet does. The problem is of course, rogue apps trying to request payments and tapjacking, so such a feature should have tapjacking protection and also shouldn't have a "approve all from this application" option for security reasons, but should have a "deny all from this application" list of apps that keep making unsolicited requests. I dunno, just a thought.
I remember I used mysu before and it didn't have hardware wallet support, I talked to pokkst about it and he said that would violate the "no nonsense" clause in the charter lol, paraphrasing. I dig his style, ghost guns ghost money, I wish he was around here.
Nostr clients are really not well suited to low quality network connections. I've been stuck with a very low quality connection for a couple of weeks and have been basically unable to use it.
Why are avatars and type 3 events not cached by clients? Particularly amethyst, but generally speaking, everything gets fetched every time. It's quite cumbersome.
I've got one for you. Find you some key lime marmalade, make some toast, some bacon, and some poached eggs. Put the marmalade on the toast. Dip it in the egg yolk, take a bite then a bite of bacon. The key lime marmalade is of course the crucial part, the rest is just a normal breakfast.
You ever seen a cat eating something it killed? Like, it's zoned out, it has no idea what's going on around it, it is in a trance eating it's kill, not a thought going through its head until it is done eating? You'll understand that feeling if you eat what I've just described.
Yup. Pay someone to mow your grass. Pay someone to clean your house. Pay someone to shop for your groceries, cook your food, go to the drive through for you. Pay people to live life for you. If you could pay someone to take a shit for you billions of people would do it.
And what do you get? Fat, dying people who aren't in charge of their own lives, people who don't understand the world around them because they're not engaged in it, a once useful metric called GDP that is now useless.
Alright sure, I didn't go to Syria and ensure that ISIS was destroyed, same thing in Afghanistan. I've seen the border wall myself so I've got a pretty good piece of evidence for myself on that one. Sure, allegory of the cave, but I don't think the earth is flat because I've never been to space myself. I highly doubt the wall is a hoax.
As far as who did it, these things weren't done despite popular support, he became president promising to do them, they happened. I can only deduce that they happened because he did them.
I don't really want to have this ridiculous conversation. These things happened, they were done by the executive branch when he was the executive, at some point you've got to ask yourself if you're denying reality to justify your worldview. You can say they were bad, you don't like them, but to say that you've not seen a guy do one thing he said he'd do and then, when presented with examples, say that those things don't actually exist or that they happened by themselves, youre just being ridiculous now.
For one, the giant border wall everyone complained about as being racist his whole term. For two, Isis destroyed and Afghanistan ended. Just off the top of my head.
I am not trying to do the pro trump anti Trump thing, I don't go for that. You don't have to be for trump to see reality. Honest people give credit where credit is due.
I would generally agree with you, except that this dude, for all his faults, often does what he says hes going to do. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen, this one is easy as far as campaign promises go.
What's the premise?
Is it using some type of tag like garnet did?
My main nostr client is now https://mostard.org
forked from the old version of NoStrudel, with all LN and e-cash crap removed, working towards a bloat-free, minimalist and monero-supported experience.
Also since it's a personal client not one supposed to be mainstream, I client filtered replyguy spam for my own improved usage.
How's the Monero related stuff work? Some type of browser extension I'm guessing?
