but for realz nostr:npub1xsgymm0ne3vndqpvsvy285qfpu59049t5n5twg9vetmt92cyn95snyzazx pls prioritize this... using swaps is so bad because you can pay immediately but you can't control when the swap service actually pays and end up like this...

So you literally want me to lower my status to a slave for a meaningless petition?

What are petitions ?

A petition is a formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to “authority” in respect of a particular cause.

However in most cases, when you sign a petition you have inadvertently accepted the obligation of the very thing you are petitioning against, when in fact you may have had no obligation in the first place, as there was no lawfully binding contract to begin with.

Meaning the subject or cause you are petitioning against did not even apply to you, but through the very action of petitioning, now it does.

This is why most petitions against the “government” are actually set up by the very “government” you are “petitioning” against.

Note: a petition is an “appeal” which means in simple terms “begging”. You have lost your sovereign status and become subservient to a higher authority.

For example: If you petition against changes made to the “Human Rights Act” then you have accepted that “contract” or corporate policy, and are now bound by it, when it never even applied to you.

You have now agreed that your rights no longer belong to you, but are now controlled by the people who have written the “Human Rights Act”, who now have the power to change them at will. You have become a slave.

A lawful petition can only exist where a standing agreed upon contract already applies.

For example: If a group of people all sign a contract to work for a corporation, and the management of said corporation then “change the deal”, the group of people could “petition” against the changes to an existing contract.

However if you are petitioning against a change in policy regarding a contract your are obligated by, remember regardless of how many people signed said petition, the overall document is only considered as one voice and only carries the weight of “one person” in court.

Therefore it would be better to sue the management for breach of contract than petition, that way the workers retain their sovereign status.

Note: Most unions will not tell the workers this, and are usually working with the very corporation the union said they would protect the worker against.

Petitions are also set up and offered by governments to defuse a situation where the people are angry over a certain issue said government caused.

The way this works is those who sign have a sense they are acting against the issue and therefore are making a difference, when in fact they have not, and hence do not take the matter any further.

In short, only children or slaves beg, make appeals and petition.

bro's fighting for his life against monero and the word petition

if only there's no real enemies out there

if blossom is a standard that lives on nostr, why does every image I see points to https://blossom.primal.net/.png instead of `blossom:.png` and use kind:10063 to find the image and if mirrored, hit server X instead of Y first nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 ? this doesn't look very nostric

I feel like the best way would be trocador's anon pay, or BTC Pay Server which I think he's already running, do a one month experiment, upchange 15% on Monero, and see the market signal.

https://trocador.app/en/anonpay

If the monero folks show up in force, and beat his monthly Bitcoin purchases then maybe that convinces him, if we don't then he's fully justified to stay Bitcoin only.

I mean either he's an adult, freedom, all that stuff, etc. but I wish he'd give us an opportunity to give him a market signal at the very least but anyways if he won't accept it now we all know he will in 15 years when Monero catches up 😎👍.

Zec is already climbing 🙃, so I imagine monero will catch up as well.

Monero is strong in most markets that accept multiple currencies, it usually makes up the dominant percent, or is slightly above, or under Bitcoin.

I hope monero doesn't do what zcash did lol very inorganic plus I don't have enough yet 😂

True for now we're always just a swap away from sending in whatever to whoever, the problem is always the reverse, if I take only XMR and you want to swap in pay using BTC, your coins can be immediately frozen at the swap level, but XMR users are always safe from this

so taking XMR directly is more for the signal or if you want to hold XMR yourself because otherwise it is only strictly necessary if this swap bridge is closed

but if the merchant is lightning only there's very little liquidity for swaps so this option is not always reliable in that case

people liked my old nostrudel fork because it just had a button that showed the address in a qr code, also had a "pay in wallet" because the bip21 auto-fills to send, then it's a plain tip button without the zap event and just opens the preferred wallet that accepts that URI scheme at the right place, things like this just get the address from bio "closer" to usage, without any advanced integration needed from the developer, which would work for btc onchain or alts too

but yeah not an actual integration, I'm remaking my client but will still use the simple idea, but this simple idea is enough for people to love it X users keep bugging platforms like odysee to do something like this and then it's an "integration", but to advance on a monero integration it could use payment IDs, or use the viewkey to generate subaddresses, then per event on send you know which event of yours got tipped, then from viewkey usage maybe a proper zap event could be created by using receipt proofs, etc, some people already experiment on this today

woah cool

it's centralized both in development and mining (https://miningpoolstats.stream/zcash), zcash launched with a 20% dev tax, every time it pumps it enriches those that skimmed coins to themselves, then they dump it all on the market

the "scam" may have funded the "promising tech", but unless you like getting poor buying zcash is not the best approach

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zcash

in counterpart monero is not a scam because everyone that gets monero only issues it fairly via mining, competing with everyone else in the same game, and it does not have a corporate structure and anyone can mine or develop for monero at any time, it may not evolve as fast or produce cutting edge tech, but it manages to deploy what already works best for a private blockchain without any leadership direction

but if you want an actual answer probably there's an advanced way where you get a following.space list event and pipe all npub tags into a mute event, using nak, jq and awk or just ask AI to make the command

noooooooo!!!!!! how could monero do this

Percebi isso tbm vou tentar trazer de volta pro moStard puxando as mudanças antigas, o dev da nostrudel pode não gostar e tal mas já existe e já tem gente usando, meio ruim simplesmente remover assim...

You can also use nostrudel to create emoji packs and use custom emojis, just find the emoji tab at the "apps" section, but emojis don't work in usernames and also not in bios. they could work though but no clients support it :bitcoin: :transparent: :samourai: :monero:

POV you are a #monero :default: user on #nostr :nostrich:
