The setup reminds me of the old Czech kitchen stoves (Austria, Bavaria had the same ones - kachelofen).

They usually build a stove top over the fire for cooking & tile up the rest. And mainly, build a day bed of sort and benches around the ducts. It's famously a very popular lazy spot in the house in the winters - warm, and easy access to the stove top goulash/stew :-)

There is something ... nice, being able to just open all my relays in a nak stream and jq them to filter the outputs a bit and just watch stuff happen in real time - and seing how small Nostr objects really are, even as JSON. Sure, something like MsgPack would be *even* smaller... but honestly, those flat objects with a consistent structure that are easy to model and read, even with the naked eye, is amazing. ^^

Fair. Framing this proposal as nostr solution for the entire GitHub value prop is a bit presumptuous.

But there IS value for nostr in having an implementation possibility wherein users can verify external resources.

Also … when artists post their cool creations (see bellow) to social media… I wonder if such a NIP could be used to help them verify original ownership? (Maybe a stretch, but just an example of the many ways that verification of external web properties could be valuable on nostr)

More so than these, imo, the standardization of contributing to a project was far more valuable.

Everyone knows how to open an issue, fork a project, and open a PR. GitHub Flow became a common pattern that devs could use as a common reference.

Otherwise GitLab and BitBucket would be just as big as GitHub.

Don’t fall for the stereotypical..”you should look this way.” If your work is good, people won’t care what your look is” most of the time. I will say I had a gen practitioner that was one of the smartest medical professionals in the area that flipped his lid, started painting his fingernails, grew his hair out and put a perm in it (you get the idea) and it did make my continued medical relationship with him. But I didn’t stop going to him since I didn’t go to the dr often and he was so smart. Unfortunately he got sick and passed away before Covid. It was sad because i would have loved to hear his opinion on Covid.
