We're all suffering from normalcy bias, I suppose. We look back 50 years and assume that's how things have always been.
Also interesting that men prize facial masculinity in other men higher than women do. Women like men who look kind-but-manly, but men are all about the gigachad, ultra-ripped, scary-looking guys.
That sort of makes sense.
The kinder humans were probably less-inclined to kill their offspring, and cared more about their needs.
It's still like that, really.
It's much better, now, but I still slipped and fell this morning. Ouch.

But there's not a single women I know who'd not get mad reading it...
I loved it. She used to give me makeup and fashion advice, and it was all spot-on. She actually has a female fanclub that DMs her, while the other women rage in public and report her so often that she's had to stop posting.
She helped me understand that my self-image was highly inaccurate. The stuff I thought was least-attractive about me was actually what was most-attractive.
She analyzed one of my PfPs in a post, but it seems it got left behind, in her attempt to start over at a new account.
I used to lecture women to "get married and make babies", but my "If they have no Prince Charming to marry, let them marry Pookie and Ray Ray" days are over.
I was drinking wine and preaching water, as they say in German.
"Humanity has an inherent addiction to what they want and not what they need."
Yes, but that is sexual selection. Women won't reproduce with men who don't make the cut. They'd rather stay childless. Which leads to the next generation of men being more-likely to make the cut.
We're just taking notice of this dynamic now because the environment has changed so dramatically, that about a quarter to a third of men won't make the next cut. That's brutal. Evolutionary pressure on par with the Bubonic Plague.
Ironic, that women only find out that men are attracted to cute faces at the point where we finally figure out how to get rid of cuteness.
On the positive side, potential wives have gone up in value. When I was young, that was very different.
I think the earth could support us, but not at the living standard we've become accustomed to.
People aren't willing to have their living standard drop below a certain level, so fathers' income sets the paternal floor (and that floor is relative to the living costs of the country or region).
I've become sanguine about it. There seems to simply be an evolutionary bottleneck caused by urbanization, digitalization, feminism and contraception.
Traditionally, gaining a wife was hard and men without wives had few or no children. It is now like that, again.
Same trajectory.
Yeah, high-income men usually have children. The wealthier he is, the more likely he is to be married and the more children he has, on average.

The birth rate in poor nations is also crashing.
I mean, they just look like especially pretty versions of cute-chipmunk-girl, not striking and dramatic like models do.
Like you could run into them at the grocery store, or something.
Well, maybe not Monica, but the other three.
They look so normal, tho. 🤷♀️
I've been slowly piecing together what most men find most attractive and it's basically women who look cute.
Sort of underwhelming and bewildering and so completely at odds with modern beauty standards.
