** TheSameCat's relay is now available over Tor **

We have checked to make sure we were not incidentally blocking Tor traffic (we were not) and we have also configured a Tor Onion Service address, for bypassing DNS level blocks of our relay.

This was tested using Orbot + Damus and worked very smoothly. Please let me know if you have connection issues.

We believe in supporting censorship-resistant, free speech and privacy protecting technologies as we are able. We will be looking into i2p in the coming weeks.

Was talking to some strangers about bitcoin yesterday, they told me they bought Doge and Shib and were still expecting it to go to a dollar each. I told them they should look more into bitcoin but they said “it was too expensive”. Classic unit bias mistake. Told them they didn’t need to buy a full one but they said they much rather have thousands of Doge than a fraction of a bitcoin.

I just don't even try any more. In the last run up I had a bunch of friends actually buy Bitcoin only to learn they sold it weeks later.

When one of them was bragging about making $300 it was so fucking hard not to tell him he fucked up.

Can I just mention that when I took #Astronomy in San Francisco the professor spent a good bit of the first class explaining that this was Astronomy and not #Astrology. Multiple people exited. He then promised us someone would ask around midterms when we would talk about something astrology related. It happened after the midterm. I no longer remember the question but someone spent half a semester in an Astronomy class waiting for their Astrology questions to be answered. Bless.

Yes. I wanted to run certain applications and my own versions of applications and do a bunch of internal networking to forward ports from startOS to the outside world. Version 0.4 will add more network configuration options. I honestly love my custom setup and would never go back.

I have a Docker host built on Fedora that's served me very well for years. It's my blog, nostr relay, Bitcoin (core, LND, Electra, etc) stack, homelab. I'm just checking it out because I've never played with one of these purpose built systems.
