I've been thinking a lot about why the fuck anyone would care about ordinals or inscriptions. I just cannot wrap my head around why anyone would pay so much money for a jpeg on the blockchain.

Could it be that it's a way to push tx fees so high that the big block conversation comes back around? Maybe I'm just distrusting of literally everyone but if I think through why someone would pay so much for inscriptions I'm just led to the thought that they see it as a way to push an agenda.

You're right to feel however you feel. It's a horrible violation even if there wasn't a physical component of the assault... It's still assault.

I believe someone slipped something in my drink Friday night. I wanted to say something so that others will remember to be extra cautious and observant. Besides getting horribly ill, I’m ok. I have questions about that night that will probably not be answered. The who, why, and what exactly I was dosed with I may never know. I was lucky that I was there with a man I trusted who was able to get me home safely and take care of me. It’s terrible when you’re told you’re one of the lucky ones because you just got horribly sick at home and not further assaulted. It’s terrible when even the police are like well someone should be back in on Tuesday to take a report. I think of all the parties between now and then and how someone may not get so “lucky”.

That's awful. I'm so sorry that happened to you but thankful you're okay.

I used to be really into the EDM scene in my 20's. We were at shows multiple times a week, we'd get blasted and weren't particularly responsible (maybe a little). Luckily that never happened to anyone we knew. It's a good thing too because if I caught someone trying that with someone I am not a person who abstains from violence.
