I pretend I don't know about computers now, saves a lot of unpaid tech support time ๐
My worst support call ever was a person whose computer sound wasn't working. We went through the troubleshooting steps, check volume, reboot, make sure sound drivers were loaded, etc. Finally I got them to verify the speakers were plugged into the correct port.
"Speakers? I don't have any speakers."

I've spent over a decade of my life in support, phone & on site. The floor for technical knowledge is very low.
I think one of the most damaging things in the Bitcoin space is wilful ignorance of how bad some of the tools actually are. Toxic positivity can be just as bad as the negative version. If you can't admit your problems, they never get fixed.
Unfortunately neither of those are available for me in Canada.

I've got a couple friends into Bitcoin. For their purposes, saving, lightning isn't really necessary, on chain is all they need. Hopefully it gets better with time.
I thought you were blocking me. If someone disagreeing with you is so offensive, I recommend you do.
I would definitely never recommend those services to a friend looking into Bitcoin. On-chain is fine, but lightning has so many caveats and problems I wouldn't risk it.
Your opinion means nothing to me in the face of my own experience, thanks ๐
Opening channels isn't free. You open them only for them to force closed again. No support or accountability from the people making the apps. Literally a scam ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Morning tasks complete. Groceries done, and Mosha has freshly trimmed paws ๐ถ๐พ๐
I've lost so many sats to force closed channels on node in the phone apps that it seems like a scam.
No shit.

I want an assault snow blower now ๐ค
