Part of the problem is, Biden was sort of foisted on us. No one disliked him, but no one has ever been a passionate supporter of Joe Biden, either. He’s more like a harmless uncle you forget exists until he shows up to the wedding.
It’s not JUST that Democrats aren’t a cult. It’s that we havent been excited in awhile. We haven’t been given a reason to be excited. We’re just trying not to die.

I miss the days when musicians sang their songs on stage with some smoke and lights and that was about it. There weren’t 50 dancers and eight outfit changes.

I don't usually read comments either, but this column made me want to know what people thought of the piece & I'm glad I read them. It was reassuring.
I think everyone has been giving Raffensberger, Pence, Rusty Bowers, Luttig, etc their due, and we're all very thankful. But I wouldn't consider that means they are the ones who saved democracy in America. There were a lot of others involved - Capitol Police, Nancy Pelosi, judges and, yes, voters rejecting the GOP project.

There were some who did the right thing in 2020, but they were in the VAST minority. And as you say, it was the least they could do.
I'm with these guys: the ones who saved Democracy were the Democrat & Independent voters.
And they saved it from the #GOP.

We pretty much know who five of the six co-conspirators is in Trump’s latest indictment. The sixth is reported to be a consultant.
One glaring omission is former COS Mark Meadows, who has disappeared from public sight since Trump left office. There’s really no way he wouldn’t be charged along with the others unless he’s flipped and is cooperating. It’s unlikely he could cooperate with one indictment and not the others, specially the Georgia case.
That could bury Trump. Deep.
