I’m not impressed with your pessimism. It doesn’t make you brave or virtuous and if you’re wrong no one will care or remember. You didn’t even ante, but you want to talk about the hand you were dealt.

It's about $500,000 in current dollars, which is 9 years gross salary for the average American or, what, 15 years of net salary? A gigantic bribe. Enormous. Vast.

nostr:npub1ntutxgmpg8zpvggy70gsvnh44fhghh4dx7cw5pxetnwzgm4rh8yq9j60a2 If could be $5. A bribe is a bribe. That’s not my point.

I had a retail client once. We were pricing a large direct mail campaign. Let’s say it was $150k.

She said, “You could buy a house for that.”

While that is true it wasn’t relevant. Her boss was pulling like $20M out of this property annually. She was using her personal finances as a baseline.

They’re just counting on people thinking, “That’s more than I paid for my house.”

This is small thinking and not relevant.

Look what my lawnmower inadvertently caught. A bloom behind her ear. Didn’t even know she was a she. I’ll have to name her. She’s been a little difficult. I might have known. A prima donna to boot.

It’s hard to judge. Usually when it’s 100 here, the humidity burns off pretty quick and it feels like an oven and there is contrast just standing in the shade. I took the warning seriously since I find it hard to cool down once I overheat in high humidity. The index is pretty vague.

nostr:npub1zefsz2ep0j0vnzt8r466qjnr764dtmxytshxz2s693jlevuduvvqr26lzw east coast beach town so it’s pretty high humidity year round. I only notice when the humidity is low.

Let me ask you this. Who the hell suffers fools? How is that even a distinction? Of course I don’t.

We had heat warnings a few days ago and it was only 86 degrees. The humidity was making the heat index 100 degrees.

nostr:npub1zefsz2ep0j0vnzt8r466qjnr764dtmxytshxz2s693jlevuduvvqr26lzw I’m not sure I buy the heat index. Feels inflated.

One thing that bothers me about the media. The breathless headline that Thomas spent $267k on an RV, that they’re trying to call a luxury motor coach.

That’s not luxury. That’s cheap. Those things are fucking ridiculously expensive. People finance them like homes.

Let’s not pretend that everyone makes $75k a year. Money is relative. If you’re going to tag him, make it real. Not from the financial understanding of a 16-yo.

It’s not that hot but it’s making up for it by being incredibly humid and still. Stifling.

He laughs when something bad happens to someone he considers an enemy.

Laughter is a natural, healthy, involuntary response. You’ve never seen Donald Trump laugh. His smile is a grimace, a front to hide his true feelings. It’s usually a smirk.

the dems control the senate, the white house and are very nearly the house, and look to hold and gain, yet you are calling it losing?

nostr:npub1ywppcelsz2uxp3ag9rqs2u4mvy4s2wahdq7emry2jx855tew0szqh2ud9d You’re right. Things are going great. We’re definitely winning.

I know this is supposed to be scary, but I just find it sad. https://apple.news/AIrtyc8d6T-uioShH_lV_jQ

if you can look at the past three years, and see the huge accomplishments under this presidency, the most progressive successes at least since LBJ and FDR, if not greater, and not be excited about 4 more years of this kind of progress, then you are neither a democrat nor a progressive, and certainly not someone who has a grasp on American politics...

nostr:npub1ywppcelsz2uxp3ag9rqs2u4mvy4s2wahdq7emry2jx855tew0szqh2ud9d That’s just pathetic. That’s why Democrats lose.
