I keep coming back to the mobile games model and wondering does that work? You have millions upon millions of people who enjoy the games for free, a much smaller percentage who pay a small to moderate amount for perks, and a small handful of whales who pay a small fortune because they enjoy going all-out.
You could say: “If you want to Zap me, it will pay directly for this paid relay that I’ve chosen to use”
It’s not even about affordability, I just personally can’t stand the subscription model.
I like that nostr.wine is a one-time purchase. I was afraid that all of these services would be monthly subscriptions. I would never ever sign up for subscriptions like that 😂

I think one thing I’m confused about is that we’re only talking about Global feed here, right? So the Home Screen is a separate thing that is only determined by who I’m following?
So is the idea that, without this feature active, if you were only using nostr.wine by itself without the added filter, you would not be seeing a lot of content that you would expect to see on more public relays?
