A Libertarian lover of our Constitution and a citizen looking for ways out of the monitored society. Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged is a must read.. Everything is about the money. What is the root of money?

Funny how the article has to call the future 'unpredictable'. If he's a true libertarian, it means cutting gov't back & that means far fewer bureaucrats, regulations and the taxes that fuel it all. Which means, the indivudual has more of his wealth back in his own pocket. Very good. Good luck to him.

Which side wants the other side wiped off the face of the earth, and within their Constitution actually states this goal? Does this come into play at all? Do you denounce the murder of 1400 people in Israel? Are the Palestinian citizens subjugated by Hamas? Why all the tunnels? Why do the Arabs living in Israel say if given the choice of living in Gaza or Israel choose Israel?

Why would a democracy want to be killing citizens? Now Zionist Nazis, yes, I could see that, but is that what we're saying? If so, We gotta see a bunch of supporting peer documents that document this stuff. Otherwise isn't this kinda talk just as bad as Nazi Hamas' talk?

Does murdering 1400 people in cold blood, in Israel, count for anything? It seems those who cry for ceasefire will not touch this fact. I don't like citizens being killed, but has anyone said anything about citizens being forced to stay? Hamas demands human shields maybe? They're Nazis after all.

In America you're at Liberty to hate whatever color you want to hate.. Hate... Go ahead. That's freedom. That's the Constitution. Act out on your hate, you turn into a criminal, after your day in court of course.. This kind of narrative is crap, all bullshit. You don't get to separate & divide by making your opinion of right and wrong the only choice. That ain't the way it works in America. Change the channel if you don't like the program. Know what I'm saying?

I'm a bit worried about this possible Lightning Network issue with there being backdoors built into the algoriithm..

Post in Angie's lost & found.. We found our buddie three days after he decided to check out the windy neighborhood. A neighbor posted a 'found bird' post and we saw it. He ended up on the third evening, flying into a garage as the man opened the garage door and drove the car inside. All of a sudden he's got a yellow bird sitting on his shoulder.. Amazing.

How about you screw with the separating of gay people? Stop it. Are they living free in America and citizens, then THEY ARE AMERICANS first. This hyphenating Americans is a Deep State trick in order to identify and pit on sub sector against the rest, and pick new sub sectors for victimhood, what seems like every week. Noones' more special than any other AMERICAN. Don't fall for it. We all have Constitutional rights and legal recourse if you think you're a victim of something.

Anyone have an idea when the Palestinians are going to rise up and get rid of Hamas? Just wondering.

Although it was predictable ahead of time that so many Palestinian civilians including children would die as a result of Israel’s response to the attack on Israel by Hamas, as the numbers continue to add up it is increasingly hard to watch.

Half of Gaza’s population is under the age of 18. There is not much more sad in this world than children, cut off from electricity and communication, violently dying from air strikes in darkness.

And sadly this happens in other places of the world too.

For much of human history, people were only aware of their own local area. Now we have awareness of large swaths of the world, and so we can keep track of tragedies in real time. We then desensitize ourselves out of necessity. Like, the sheer amount of negative information and unsolvable problems hit us through media, and in order to productively do something to add value to someone else, there is little choice other than compartmentalization it. An electrician can’t be caught up in the troubles of the world as he goes out each day and fixes things and building things, for example. In order to add order to his small part of the world, he can’t be fully caught up with its global chaos.

And then, I see these crazy protestors tearing down flyers about kidnapped Israelis, as though that activity could possibly be the best use of their time. People have a strong tendency to want to be part of something bigger and longer lasting than themselves, whether it is their religion, their community, their ideology, or their work. But some people chose such fruitless ways of doing it. Yes, you can and should advocate for not bombing children. No, you shouldn’t try to erase what happened to murdered or captured Israelis either. It is not rocket science.

The world is an increasingly polarized place, and my biggest concern is for those polarizations to be used to take rights away in a more broader context, or to wage war between larger opponents. Politicians will propagandize any small share of ā€œcrypto fundingā€ to bad groups to justify more restrictions on those technologies and privacy in general. As countries go through sovereign debt crises, having some sort of enemy to point to helps their narrative for capital controls and keeping their citizens in currency and bonds as they are inflated away. I’ve studied the 1940s financial environment too much to be unaware of this.

Always look through to the bigger story, and ideally with a perspective of empathy toward many sides of any complex issue. Strive to be able to articulate your opponent’s view as well as they can, so that your counter argument can be most effective and surgical in its nature. And then, when there is nothing you can do about something globally, try instead to bring order and reason and improvement and kindness to whatever small portion of the world that you can.

You're right about the polarization of the world. You either believe in free market capitalism or you're apart of the Global Green Socialist Crime Syndicate.

Of course we can afford another war.. We'll just counterfeit a couple hundred trillion more dollars. The special military people getting the money first better spend it quick before it filters through the entire economy & kills the value of our money already in circulation. Never mind worrying about not having money for food or energy. The gov't can print some more and give it to you.. But remember, spend it right away..

Just start following folks. That's all. You now own your posts.. They'll be stored on relays and no matter what Client (IRIS or Primal or a meriad of others) you use, all your posts will follow you. We can all say and be what we want to say and do.. Freedom of speech!!! Good luck.

I look forward to the day when I ask a business owner if they accept Bitcoin Lightning for payment, the answer is yes.. Smarter people than me are working on the challenges LN have, and one day, it will take over the world.

All I can tell you is to get yourself exercising.. You get to experience a success every time you finish that 6 mile walk, or 15 mile bike ride.. It's cathartic. It focuses your mind. I can attest to working through issues in my life because of the focus exercise, specifically jogging gave to me. To this day, and we're talking decades.. Grab those jogging shoes, and walk out that door. A half hour out, and a half hour back.. Soon you'll be driving to different locations for walks all over the place!

I'm wondering if my notes are getting posted? Is Nostr seeing them??

Funny...For some reason, kissing an animals butt I guess, brings to mind a meme of a small pug type dog standing about 6 feet from the screen door, intently watching something going on outside. There's a young baby crawling right up behind the pooch. The baby's finger is pointing about 4 inches from that dog's butt.. The meme say," Dog, ready for launch!! " Brings a chuckle to me every time I think about it.. I know, it has nothing to do with kissing spiders, but damn it was funny.. šŸ˜‰
