Meh

Yes it is.

I have direct experience. Two of my friends both studied French in University. One even then continued afterwards. So both having pretty good French by any standard.

Yet, getting to first bakery shop the baker will correct them immediately for tiny issues with the accent. 😂😂😂

From AI point of view at the end we might be actually lucky to have overregulation in EU 😅

But it's like broken clock showing right time 😁

Ah. Your president.

Great I see all your problems are solved and only those miniscules remains 😁😁😁

Correct.

But why is there so sudden interest on Nostr about eating cats & dogs?

Both. I enjoy both, because they are usually distinctive in writing style about same thing.

Good example is R.E. Feist where first books about Riftwar are his, but then the perspective of other side is from J. Wurts mostly I believe. I enjoyed all of it.

Reading in Genesis this evening. Specifically Genesis 34. The story of Dinah, Simeon and Levi. An interesting read for anyone that hasn't read it.

The popular reading of this story is that Dinah was raped, though the text does not explicitly state.

In fact, it states:

2 ...[Shechem] saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

3 And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel...

I think the idea of rape comes from the word defilement, but there is no indication of force. Nonetheless, Simeon and Levi take revenge by negotiating a marriage with terms of circumcision. Three days after and when the men were "sore", Levi and Simeon descended upon them and slaughtered every male. They then took the cattle, women and children as spoils of war.

I'm curious what the opinions are of this story.

I would imagine that few would consider Simeon and Levi's response as measured or just but I find no real consequences either.

This seems out of character in any context of the scriptures and yet, there's a part of me that can sympathize with their wrath.

It's also interesting that with all Jacob has seen God do, he is fearful of the opinions of men. Another item of note is that this is one of the few chapters that God is not spoken of once.

Perhaps the lack of God at this point is representative of a departure from faith which invites excess and fear?

Super interested to hear what others make of this story. Would especially love the Jewish perspective on this story, as well.

I believe you've needs to read it in original language, to try to grasp the original meaning. I saw interesting series about biblical stuff and clearly lot it lost in translation (and time of course).

So let's look for some linguist with knowledge of Hebrew and Aramaic...

Yes. And it is absolute crime to make it illegal and seen as something "dirty"

But I haven't heard about this application before.

Not only.

But due to ridiculously complex regulations especially on small aircrafts we don't have flying cars or generally small and cheap small aircraft services.

Exactly!

It is like I`m not capable of being civil, gentle and speak about living a life, playing with kids and not mixing politics into it.

Anyway, fuck the state and all of its enforcers!

Good Sunday Morning.

Yesterday was fun day. We visited local "tank show", drove on caterpillar vehicle on very, very dusty field.

As you can imagine boys were totally happy, me a little less, cause I had to drive back one hour with dust in, well everywhere.

Definitely worth it 😬😁

Also since this was basically showing the 80', so we were very much reminded to cruel realty of communist tyranny in praxis - part of the show was replay of real story where army forced down with warning shots some poor guy who was trying to escape socialist paradise in a crop duster.

Yup, that is very good point. My wife makes it from every scrap bone we have quite often.

Yeah, but for sure all the electromagnetic radiation from all the networks is not influencing us at all.

Yeah. It makes very much sense from this point of view.

But on the other hand half of those things I have no idea what they are, so they're not relatable at all. 😁

And I appreciate the simplicity of metric, where you can easily scale up and down just using logic.

And of course growing up in fully metric environment give this totally different perspective.🤷
