In #nostr, If you think of events as books...

- copied endlessly

- can easily tell if its been tampered with

- has author

- has unique id

and relays as libraries...

- can be personal, private, public, etc.

- cataloged, organized, and easily searchable

- can subscribe for new items

- can't expect every book at every library

- can't expect any library to hold and store something forever

... then entire protocol makes perfect sense.
