Did anyone come up with a good word for adding a paid relay as read-only so that it's free, but it's not a free relay?

I've just found it to be a mouthful and some confusion around "add a paid relay, but don't pay for it".
You should at least use that one plus the filter relay (wss://filter.nostr.wine/ If you *only* use nostr.wine, you will miss a lot of content. But I have added another paid relay and some read-only (paid, but I didn't pay for them) relays as backups.

Assuming nostrplebs.com already has a server, which they do, they can host a JSON file on it for almost 0 marginal cost. If you had to price that single JSON file it'd probably be on the order of pennies per year, even if it has 10k or 100k identities listed.
Amethyst and Damus currently fixed at 1000 sats. Snort.social lets you change the amount.
You need an LN address in your nostr profile to enable the zaps. LN address from Wallet of Satoshi, Blue wallet, or Alby (desktop).

Sending you some sats now, by tapping the lightning bolt and hitting send.
If you hit send, the person you tapped the icon under will get sats.
Zap = a "like", but with money instead of just "thoughts and prayers".
