GM everyone. Lovely day out there. Too nice not to go for a pre-work walk!
Yes.... But is the US still a Partner of the EU and UK? That what the USA is doing with it's allies is not showing they still see it that way. The USA is treating there partners Canada and EU so badly, it looks more like enemies. Good job #denmark

They’re sure rubbing us to the wrong way right now. UK relations with the US are turning rather sour. Don’t know of any immediate ramifications just yet but it has affected various NGO projects’ funding. So expecting things to fall apart.
Taken yesterday using the Leica Lux app on my iPhone, exposure-3 of an old tree root. It looks like something out of a Tolkien story. nostr:npub1e7pjckshj8x5gaek9fda4swf03tr6kg8czngh0wdh8xkrelfnwdspzh2sm thanks for your post on Substack that reminded me of this great app.
Cornwall is a special place for us, used to have relatives down there and many of our ancestors were from there. So deep connections indeed.
We've not been to Slovenia until this year, so that'll be an adventure, especially as we are driving a van full of kayaks up through the Alps to get there.
Have been to Corfu once before and Madeira twice and that was before it became Bitcoin island, so I will definitely seek out some of that, if we go there this year.
Will go next year or something instead.
Our first trip this year will be down to Cornwall, staying just outside Newquay and I can't wait. It will be a lot of fun, the whole family is going almost!
Later in the year, we are heading for Slovenia and then Corfu and/or Madiera.
It's a selfie stick indeed, although more of a monopod for the Insta360, that is rendered invisible by the software. Will post some examples when I can.
I can vouch for the cake - was blimming lovely!
More coffee and cake this morning. Why not? This was at the Canteen in old Portsmouth which is in an old cellar. Very good. I recommend it highly!
Almost charged up and then onto Southses for a good old blast of sea air!!
I’m guessing it’s your birthday today? Have a great one. Not long till mine and I’ll be on holiday for it which is cool
It’s only advice after all!
Stopped off at Mollies in Wallingford. Very funky cafe indeed! I’ll nip inside and take some more photos. We’re out in the garden at the moment. Out in the garden! Spring is here!
The coronation chicken baguettes were gorgeous! Great coffee!
Bolton House, located at 14–16 Cullum Street in the City of London, is a notable example of Art Nouveau architecture with Moorish influences. Completed in 1907, it was designed by architect A. I. Selby.
The building’s façade features blue and white faience tiles, arched windows, and elegant columns. A frieze above the first-floor windows showcases foliage designs typical of the Art Nouveau style. The shield incorporated into the design is believed to represent the heraldic device of Prior Bolton.
Cullum Street, where Bolton House is situated, was established following the Great Fire of London in 1666 and is named after Sir Thomas Cullum.
By 1950, Bolton House served as the premises for The Navigators & General Insurance Company. In 1984, the building underwent renovation, during which two additional storeys were added.
Today, Bolton House stands as a rare example of Art Nouveau architecture in the City of London, reflecting the early 20th-century architectural trends and the city’s rich history.
I’ve heard there has been a massive problem with landslides around Ventnor in recent times. Roads have been closed and many other things have happened.
Funny you mention the C word as my wife and I often refer to it as the biggest problem. Convenience is killing industries and ultimately - us!
Maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but it has eroded certain things, that we used to enjoy from existence.
I know where he’s buried and it’s a fascinating churchyard. Haven’t been there for awhile, so could take a trip out that way with the camera
That’s a beautiful view!
EIAIO starting to sound like Old MacDonald!! Joking aside. What if web pages cease to be a thing? Or become less important? I think things will change so much that the internet will be unrecognisable in two years time, let alone ten.
