#AskNostr today's question:

I cannot make Fountain to work on my phone. I've managed the first day to connect with my nsec but I could not set up the wallet. (It send me an e-mail with an activation code but it said that code was not ok, even if I've tried several times)

Now it does not connect. If I try to put the nsec again it says the profile already exist and if I try to connect with the e-mail, we are back to the code error

Any ideas?

It's nice and all that Trump and Elon want to make the government more efficient using the Doge. It's a great idea.

But how are you going to affect the necessary change when you won't even talk about reform for the big 3 line items. Welfare entitlements, military spending and interest on the debt...and action to reform government is just a larp unless you address one or all three of those things.

Who thinks they got the balls to take away the welfare benefits?

Depends, if the app is open source you can at least verify the code to check where they store it. Usually an app (unless malicious) will store it in your device's local storage. This is still a lot of work to verify every app, for better security it would be beneficial to store it in a signer app and only have to verify the signer's security, this way you can still "login" to many apps without ever sharing your nsec with them.

Even reviewing the code isn't a failsafe method though, as there's no way to verify that the build you're running is the same as what's on GitHub, right? Unless you're building it yourself from source. Either way, better to trust just one signer app.

My thinking is rent somewhere cheap and decent for another 5 to 10 years. Then buy a nice place once bitcoin has appreciated enough. Location is more important than actual residence in terms too. Don't blow any of your stack on material things too early.
