Any large, complex, and changing system should have some sort of version control, especially when there are multiple people working on it. It’s insane that there can be massive changes to a system and I have absolutely no idea that they’ve happened, the scope of the changes, when they were made, and why.

Parents, protect your kids from Rust. It may start out innocently. Maybe they just want to understand systems programming, but soon they’ll talk about nothing else but ownership and memory. Eventually you’ll hear them say the dreaded phrase “Rewrite it in Rust!” By that point they’re too far gone. You kids are lost to you. Not even rehab or forcing them to use a simple and dynamic language will stop them from writing the simplest of scripts in Rust.
Fighting with the borrow check sucks when you’re learning Rust, but once you get a feel for how it works Rust starts to feel so much more effortless.
That quote about being able to program C in any language doesn’t really hold true for Rust since you can’t throw around memory and hope for the best.

Just catching up on this. Everyone went crazy because a company that happened to use Bitcoin successfully used Google Cloud ☁️ infrastructure? Just because I run a node on my MacBook or on an AWS instance doesn’t mean Apple and Amazon are now officially running Bitcoin.
