A theory I have as to why there’s so much of this is zaps.

I think zaps is a game changer but it also encourages people to produce low quality content in high quantities to try and get zaps, even though it doesn’t work like that.

Hopefully over time people realise high quality content = more zaps

One of the downsides of Nostr currently is the amount of Bitcoin s**tposting. Sometimes my feed is full of it, why bother scrolling to see the same regurgitated content? Also half the time the content isn’t the work of maximalists but mainly just idiots

Hello! Wikipedia has a more in depth description but I’ll try and summarise it.

It’s coined by a lot of left-wing environmentalists but rather than focusing on climate pessimism it advocates for a technology focused approach to sustainable communities and mindful living that is in better sync with the planet.

You’ll find a lot of social activism attached to it as there is a focus on socialist values but it can certainly be adopted as a mindset by many people on the political spectrum.

Having some ADHD tendencies makes it difficult focusing my energy on productive, helpful things.

My view of the world has definitely been refined recently and is helping give me that clarity I want/need.

I want my work (not necessarily my job) to focus on some common trends:

1. Empowering communities to grow together using technology as a tool (think #nostr, decentralised tech, etc)

2. Empowering #solarpunk & #permaculture adoption

3. Bitcoin not just as wealth accumulation but a societal initiative that empowers those that fiat has left behind

4. Anything I do needs to be #opensource

If you’re working on something and want a helping hand in the above let me know. I am a competent Python programmer but also have experience with JS/TS, Go, AWS and do Machine Learning & MLOps as a job.

Alternatively if you have an idea but no way to execute it let’s talk as well.
