I think it’s supposed to be a bit better towards the end of next week. It really has been grim.
For him to notice would involve going outside, and I can’t see that happening soon (other than when I dragged him on his walk).
It does claim to be washable, so I’ll see what happens. I’ve just stuck it in the shed for now, where I dare say it’s made an enormous puddle.
Oops: I left Dog’s shed bed in the garden last night.
It’s a bit soggy. And drippy.
I get it, but nothing natural is ever perfect!

As part of the new approach, medics have been reminded that for “most” young people, the feeling of being in the wrong body is just a “phase” and does not persist into adulthood.
Officials have now set out their plan for how children will be able to access the service, which has been sent to experts for their input. The plans have been seen by The Telegraph.
The plans state: “Children under seven years of age may not be expected to have sufficiently developed their intellectual understanding of, and comprehension of, sex and gender to be able to understand the reasons for, and potential consequences of, a referral to a specialist gender incongruence service.”
I’m with Stephanie:
Stephanie Davies-Arai, founder of Transgender Trend, said there were still questions about the age at which the children would be allowed onto the trial. She said the “devil is in the detail”.
I would leave them to it. I’m always pleased when I see a spider on my plants, doing a useful job eating the bugs.
I can’t imagine their webs cause a significant reduction in the light the plant gets, unless they’re getting clogged up with dust or something.
Why do you want to? Are they poisonous?
Spiders won’t hurt the plants, they’ll help by eating things that would otherwise eat the leaves.
Afaik it’s regional but mostly yes.
They kinda weren’t, there were so many feast/ saint’s days, and the Chores had to be done anyway, that the idea of an actual rest day was unusual in Europe.
But we love you for it.
Weekends were a thing before formalised unions were. It’s not a Union if it’s just a bunch of people saying “no, hang on”.
So I totally changed my react from angry (at the diss on old people) to laugh (at the wannabe man). Of course the nice old lady correctly sexed you (and was in passing too polite to mention your embarrassing facial hair): she’s a nice old lady.
Managers must not make supportive comments
So angry!
Under the ‘Transitioning at Work and Gender Diversity Policy’, staff are told it is transphobic to ‘deliberately use the name a Trans colleague had prior to transition’. They are also told it is offensive to ask a trans or non-binary person questions such as ‘which bathrooms do you use?’
The policy tells bosses that employees who identify as a different gender should be allowed to use alternative changing rooms and showers, even if they have no plans to medically transition.
It reads: ‘Managers must not make supportive comments such as ‘I understand your concerns’ to staff who, for example, complain about Trans or Non-Binary colleagues having access to gendered spaces.

Still, while sporting bodies like FINA are starting to stand up for biological truth and fairness, the battle to preserve single-sex spaces continues. Some might dismiss this as a storm in a changing room, but there are many women who will simply stop going swimming or trying on clothes if they are faced with the prospect of sharing an intimate space with men.
Lia Thomas has made it all too clear why men do not belong in women’s sports. It’s time we recognised they don’t belong in women’s spaces, either.
Ah, proper old school! Respect.
