I doubt the people at the morgue have the time or training to break that kind of news to people.
It must be so awful for the people making those calls.
It sounds like there was some sort of almighty cock up and the emergency alert didn’t sound.
Someone who had been to the Maui morgue, looking for family members, reporting that it was full of the sound of ringing mobile phones :’(
I love the fake royal warrant.
(Needless to say that this is not sold in the UK.)
I’m boggled to think what you’re getting up to that might have led to cross-infection….
How’re you doing today?
In a somewhat surprising twist, Gen Z respondents were significantly less likely than millennials to support pronoun censorship.
Baby steps.
I’m reminded of that “Come on, you’ll enjoy the party if you come! Don’t be such a they/them” overheard comment.
Did they get it under control?
I thought it was power lines, not the volcano?
OMG UK gardeners saying we’ve had a bad summer because June was a bit warm. No, it’s because it’s rained all throughout July and early August.
Hopefully it will come to nothing.
I smelled non-coal smoke driving down the road the other day, and even though we’ve had a miserably wet July my heart sank. (Doesn’t seem to have been anything, thankfully.)
That’s weird, I would have thought cuttings from a mutant would come true! It must be a very unstable one, or some sort of fasciation-like thing.
Good luck.
Does anyone know more about this? It’s astonishing if true and generally applicable.

Even so, within a week, I noticed a formidable transformation. I felt more alert, less stressed, more flexible, less prone to dithering. I slept more deeply. Finally, I felt like myself again and I began to wonder why on earth the NHS doesn’t offer testosterone to all women taking HRT.
[…]
Instead of a prescription, however, I received a lecture on how short the NHS is of funds and how money must be allocated to those who need it most. I was told I would have to be seen by a menopause specialist if I wanted testosterone – and there was at least a two-year waiting list.
In an attempt to lighten the mood, towards the end of my appointment the GP said: ‘We don’t want you suddenly turning into a man do we?’ Then she seemed to check herself and said quite seriously: ‘Of course, if anyone does want to become a man that’s absolutely OK and we can definitely have a conversation about hormones for that.’
I did wonder that.
Oh, but what about the “additional context” we were promised?
