I made this tonight after having a conversation with family whose primary source of information is the Mainstream Media.
Every MSM talking point of the week repeated back to me.
"Propaganda works best when those who are being manipulated
are confident they are acting on their own free will." - Joseph Goebbels

I agree with that assessment. I feel that the more they squeeze the more people will seek exits.
We must never become complacent though about its inevitability. They will try to come for what we are building. It is a threat to their control. And as such we will become targets.
It our responsibility, as early adopters, to be over here ensuring decentralization, getting ready for the masses, working out the bugs, building out the system so that when the masses realize the utility and necessity of these systems they're ready.
Exactly. If the value of Bitcoin is a Billion dollars, US dollars will simply not exist, and therefore we would not be using a fiat currency to measure the value of Bitcoin.
I find two helpful strategies that have worked for myself and my clients.
1. Imagine yourself not as you, but as a loved one or best friend. Would you say those negative things to them or would you be understanding and supportive?
We always have very high standards for ourself but are much more forgiving of those around us.
and if the voice is really terrible
2. Personify the voice. It's not in your mind, instead, it's an ugly warty basement dwelling troll. Once you've visualized it saying terrible things about you, promptly tell it where it can stick its unwanted opinion, like you would any other troll in your life.
It takes work to catch it every time, but I've found a lot of success with the technique.

While many of us can easily discuss the revolutionary ideas behind #Bitcoin and #nostr —such as financial sovereignty, privacy, and decentralization—turning those thoughts into concrete actions can be a challenge.
The real difficulty lies in not just understanding these concepts but actively engaging with them—whether that means investing, building, or advocating for their adoption.
It’s one thing to recognize the importance of these technologies; it’s another to embody that understanding through our actions. As we navigate this exciting yet complex landscape, let’s commit to aligning our actions with our beliefs.

GM fellow plebs.

For this morning's Stoic exercise, let's focus on gratitude.
Though arguably overused and potentially cliche with its use in today's New Age Movement,
gratitude is a powerful practice that aligns closely with Stoic philosophy, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and appreciating the good in our lives, even amidst challenges.
For Stoics, gratitude is not merely a fleeting emotion but a deliberate exercise that fosters resilience and contentment.
At its core, the Stoic exercise of gratitude involves reflecting on what we have rather than what we lack. Each morning, take a moment to acknowledge the simple blessings in your life—be it the warmth of the sun, the support of loved ones, or the opportunities that lie ahead. This practice shifts our focus from scarcity to abundance, helping us cultivate a mindset of appreciation.
Moreover, gratitude encourages us to accept the impermanence of life. By recognizing that everything we cherish can change or be lost, we learn to value our experiences more deeply. This acceptance fosters a sense of peace and reduces anxiety about the future.
Incorporating gratitude into your daily routine can be transformative. Consider keeping a gratitude journal, where you jot down three things you are thankful for each day. Not things of material wealth, but of things we cannot buy. Over time, this simple exercise can enhance your overall well-being, strengthen your resilience, and deepen your connection to the present moment.
In the words of Marcus Aurelius, “When you arise in the morning think of the privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love…” Embrace gratitude as a Stoic exercise, and watch how it enriches your life.
Tell me one thing that you are grateful for today.
