We should normalize lightning as the primary transaction layer and L1 as the settlement layer/cold storage layer. More liquidity on lightning means lower fees on larger volumes. Still some challenges to solve, but there are many good cases for adopting lightning.
It provides privacy tools and obfuscates small tx so that opening and closing channels is the trackable balance changes. The rest is private.
