Gm #coffeechain!

Finally got hot water back so the day is looking good... and less smelly lol.

The final push on the prepper pantry repair involved changing plumbing and the project derailed for 2 days. Currently running off a hose that is backfeeding my house from the cabin. nostr:nprofile1qqs2rlzal4lleatrezg4tdrxw5d4srg3tcfkutuvjr5fzvu9h0kmrncpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9mhwden5te0vaex7atswvhrq7rrdpshgtnrdaksru34wu sound familiar?

Next week, folks arrive for the LFTN Spring Workshop with Jack Spirko, Alan Booker and many more great speakers and permacultyrists.

We keep the group size to 50 so there is plenty of time for learning and interaction.

This weekend is the last push for set up, then we are also ready for summer campers!

The end of lambing season us here. Our last little ram got pulled at midnight on Monday. I was so sure he was already dead and that I was going to kill Mom getting him out. He was for real stuck. But to my surprise, he was alive when I got him out and so far, Mom is ok, though very swollen.

Yesterday was brought to you by #coffee lol

Have fun!! I have never been so happy to finish lambing season as I am this year

Gm. New lamb part 2.

So T drove his jeep up the hill and Mom got a car ride! (I carried baby down the hill so she would be scared).

We crafted a jug and tied mom up so baby had access, then drove to a fellow homesteaders place to borrow her head gate which is gentler for the mom.

While we were away, mom got loose and Knighthawk (who was checking on her) removed the tie completely.

Baby nursed without getting head buttes off!! By the time we returned, mom figured out the little squirt was hers and is now bonded.

Phew. Bottle baby disaster avoided!

New lamb part one: Last evening we found this in the Pasture. She was born to a new mom and got on the wrong side of the electric fence where the LGD was. The LGD cleaned her up.

When we reunited her with her mom, we'll, she just didn't smell right and she got rejected. So we caught mom and got her latched on hoping things would work. Nope.

So the good? Baby lamb got colostrum. The bad? Mom had no idea why thus litter squirt was following her.

It was fun to see her go through all the phases of spinning challenges in one day

This week off with my nieces has been really good for me. It is nice to remember that there are other things out there beyond my #homesteading world.

Burgess Falls has more water flowing over it than I have ever seen and the footpath to the top of the third fall is open.

Getting ready to kick into overdrive when they head out but considering how a person could also tour ten TN waterfalls this year too...

Now for a cup of Rwanda.

It's been a good week with my nieces. Today we are either learning to spin or to make cheese. #homesteadbootcamp

Dog hugs in the Holler today. Gm everyone.

Thanks. It keeps the house cooler I'm summer to have tomatoes there

Before and after. HOLLER con Queso is being replaced.

Yesterday I painted 1 wall of my house.

When we painted it yellow like 17 years ago, I never thought it would stay yellow that long. I had only agreed to the color because it was the terms upon which my then partner required if he was going to help me paint. The color had to be yellow and bright...

GM everyone.
