Craftsmanship breeds success, ownership breeds excellence. | Automotive journalist/commentator/historian/enthusiast, gamer and poster of quotes. I mainly post about car and automotive related things.

What is "fame" really? You can be famous and infamous. Fame is just a neutral descriptor of someone who surpassed Dunbar's Number, imo.

My only advice for handling fame I can offer is, I wouldn't worry about the responsibility of others, just follow your convictions and ideals as to what is morally right vs. wrong from your perspective. If you see a gross injustice occurring that you feel strongly about post about it and use your platform. Your followers have a brain and hopefully can think for themselves and either follow you or not on it.

The worst thing you can do when famous is worry about optics. People respect someone more who has flaws as they can relate. The idea and perception of Hollywood has put out there for the past 100 years of being "perfect" messes up breakout stars all the time as they're not ready as they are burdened by this pressure and they crack.

Humans have vices and flaws, no one is perfect. So just be yourself Poe let others decide on whether you want to be famous or not. Just act in accordance to your beliefs and never compromise them to appease someone.

Right on Poe

I said this awhile ago when I was a new nostrich, but new personalities/influencers will be born on Nostr that will have a impact outside of the platform. We kind of are already seeing this with what happened at the Miami conference and nostr:npub167n5w6cj2wseqtmk26zllc7n28uv9c4vw28k2kht206vnghe5a7stgzu3r crew. We will see this more and more as the word gets out about how awesome the Nostr ecosystem is. I'm actually shocked how fast this happened as it is.

You're already #nostr famous, so just give it time till the rest of the internet hears about your exploits on here. 😁 Chairs not included of course.πŸ˜…

If you want to undertake this, I did a non-exhaustive list a month ago to the day for another new user. There a lot more though. That should help you get started, just copy and paste the hashtags.

Soulseek is highly underrated for anything music related. It has stuff you can only find on higher tier private trackers like RED or Orpheus. The culture their is also like private trackers as well, but that leads to higher quality music posted there.

In the not so distant future you will be able to integrate slskd with Lidarr. Just have to wait a little longer till it gets integrated.

Remember though the 100 year festivities at Le Mans don't stop as later this month is the Le Mans Classic event. So anyone who likes vintage racing will have something to look forward to. Here are some highlights from last year.πŸ‘‡#ClassicCar #racing #grownostr

Have to say the 100th anniversary of Le Mans was exciting to watch this year and was full of historic milestones, whether it's Garage 56 participating and putting in some of the fastest lap times compared to other GTE cars, except the C8. Corvette Racing leaving on a high note and bringing to an end 25 years of success or Ferrari's 1st overall win in 58 years and bringing to an end 5 years of dominance of Toyota. Truly one for the history books! #racing #cars #carstr #grownostr

Funny you mention gaming was talking to nostr:npub1de6l09erjl9r990q7n9ql0rwh8x8n059ht7a267n0q3qe28wua8q20q0sd about that yesterday. The gaming community is small but growing and their is some room for dedicated posters relating to just games or different niches of games. Could even get a few #nostr based guilds/clans going.

For the rest of the stuff checkout the foodstr, travel and dogstr hashtags those are posted in regularly. Plenty of interesting and actively posted stuff if you use the right hashtags. Nostr isn't barren like some outsiders like to claim, it's pretty vibrant and the posting is high quality.

Authors note, finding pictures and reliable information was incredibly difficult and took hours. Apologize for the lack of #carporn in this post as not many photos exist on the web that I could find. #cars #carstr #carchain #grownostr

1995 Tom's T020 MR2

The Tom's T020 MR2 is a special edition of the second-generation Toyota MR2 that was produced in limited numbers by Toyota in collaboration with Setagaya based Tom's Racing known for their racing cars in Le Mans, IMSA and JGTC.

Under the hood, the Tom's T020 MR2 was powered by a 2.2L stroked 3S-GE engine that produced 235 bhp at 6,800 rpm. This was achieved with stronger F3 cams, a stroker kit, an upgraded intake system labeled as "TOM'S Hyper Induction Carbon", and an improved exhaust system dubbed "TOM'S Barrel". A lightened flywheel was also included to enhance engine revs. The T020 received various upgrades such as camber kits, strut bars, roll center adjusters, stiffer springs, race shock absorbers, and sports brake pads, resulting in a more race-oriented suspension/chassis setup. These modifications, combined with the engine updates, allowed the T020 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. The T020 also had a sportier appearance due to changes like engine scoops, side skirts, Ferrari-inspired rear light grille, forged wheels, revised bumper designs, and a larger rear spoiler. It features a mid-engine layout that helps optimize weight distribution and handling.

The T020 was known as a refined version of the MR2, which is typical of any TOM'S outfitted vehicle. Due to its limited production numbers, the Tom's T020 MR2 is highly collectible among MR2 enthusiasts.

Well might take a little longer.πŸ˜‚
