E2EE DMs are coming to Nostr đź”’
After being nerd sniped by hearing nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 mention OTR for the millionth time on the Bitcoin Review podcast, I spent the last few weeks digging into OTR, the Signal protocol, and a grab-bag of other cryptography.
The end result is that I (am pretty sure at least) that I found a way to do E2EE (end-to-end encrypted) DMs on Nostr in a way that is both forward and post-compromise secure AND doesn't require any centralized servers.

For those prioritizing shitcoins over Bitcoin - I’ve recently sent this in response:
My thesis: No asset in history has absolute scarcity like Bitcoin. Up to this point, VC's have been pumping Alt's, traders have been using chart fundamentals, and both have been the largest influencers on price. This has driven billions of capital away from the revolutionary innovation, into speculator assets that have been dumping on retail investors and taking their money.
This cycle, institutions, mega-cap corps, and nation states are getting in, and almost exclusively into BTC. The convergence of a demand shock and supply shock will break all models and rocket BTC..up and to the right.
Plus - regulators in the US are in close coordination with others around the world to focus on all proof-of-stake coins and tokens to get them into compliance...which likely means most shutting down or moving to remote corners of the internet.

Defining currency in terms of debt and other fiat currencies is idiotic.. won't withstand history even with control of industry, banking, academia, media, military industry, politics, etc. (all centrally established to enable total war that empowered the fiat ponzi in the first place).
