A nonprofit is a company that always reinvests all of their profits. Any company can do that. Don't need a special designation for that.

The whole thing is fucked up and bullshit and it's only so popular because it allows them to raise corporate taxes to the roof, without their own supporters rebelling because most people either work for the government nonprofit or for nongovernmental nonprofits.

THE ONLY COMPANIES THAT ARE PUNISHED BY CORPORATE TAXES ARE THE ONES PRODUCING STUFF INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR.

The cheapest way to get SATs I have found is to buy at set price on Bitaroo, 0.15% maker fee. Then send to Wallet of Satoshi, 1000 sat fee. Then to strike, about 100 SATs, then send low priority to cold storage for no fees in excess of the on chain fee.

Its KYC, but you jump between companies in different countries via lightning.

Is there a cheaper option?

Is there a lightning non KYC custodian that can send on chain for cheap?

He seems to think that having a billionaire own the app is the winning strategy. That's A strategy, but wouldn't it be better if the billionaire owned an app that uses a protocol that he couldn't censor even if he wanted to?

Putting aside the fact that Jack is involved with Nostr, I'd still prefer to use a system where apps can be forked, etc. Having one massive honeypot vs hundreds of tiny ones doesn't seem like a winning strategy.

I know address re-use is considered bad practice, but I was wondering,... And even numbers is easy to track, but imagine.

I chop up a big UTXO in smaller parts and make it an even number. Let's call it 1,001,000(*) Sats.

Now there is a chunk smaller than that left , the remainder. So I send out this remainder in the same action to a fixed address.

Now I do the same with another UTXO, but I denominate tlin smaller amounts, because it is easier. Again use same remainder destination address. Now there can be an assumption that both actions are same player. Yes.

Now I convinced another bunch of people to do the same, for the fixed address is not mine, but belongs to the wallet of f.e. A fundraiser these UTXO dividers agreed upon. 🤔

(*)The 1000 Sats extra are for fee in future where I want to use the smaller UTXO for.

Did I now decreased my privacy, increased my privacy ( aside of for those who are in on de fundraiser), or just made a fool out of myself?

Bitcoin would be just as decentralized with 16 MB blocks.

Given the speed of development for storage & mobile data, doubling the block size every halving wouldn’t increase the cost of running a node.

ZK proofs can also bring nearly instant sync to mobile nodes.

But the community would rather accept federations & activate soft forks that only a few people understand than follow the path with the best-tested and most understood tradeoffs.
