How to fix America's obesity problem-liberal style:
So simple that I can't believe no one has come up with it already.
At 6:30 am when I was finishing my hour hike up and down hills with a 40# pack on my back, I had an epiphany: it's not fair. Here I am getting a full 60 minutes of exercise while there's a 300-pounder across town sleeping in. Why doesn't the government step in and do something about this? It's 2025! How can we live in a society where the people who need exercise most are not getting what they need. Surely, I don't need to keep ALL the 400 or so minutes of aerobic activity I do weekly. Surely I could spare 10% to give to those less fortunate than me. I shouldn't complain , I'll still be plenty healthy with 360 minutes. I'm just being greedy by keeping it all. In fact, some people are more greedy than others but I have a way to fix that. If you only workout 100 minutes/week you owe 10% if you work out 200 min it's 20% and so on. That's only fair.
What if people try and sneak out and do some cardio "under the radar"? We'll just have to use huge amounts of resources to police that. Exercisers will have to get licenses to workout and there will be huge fines if caught exercising without turning some over to the government. It's disgusting that someone would even think of exercising and keeping it all to themselves- it's an epidemic of obesity out there. And it's hitting minorities hardest. You might even say it's racist not to give up that cardio. Everyone has a right to have exercise! And what about the children? Obesity is starting to affect the young people. We have no choice but to do this for the children. You MUST write to your congressperson and URGE them to right this wrong as soon as possible. If you don't, you must be some greedy jerk who hates minorities, poor people and children.
