Lmao
Does anybody want to test this out?

With this feature, you can mint USD-pegged ecash with your LNMarkets account as a back-end. When a user decides to mint ecash, they will be required to pay a Lightning Network invoice equivalent to the US dollar amount in satoshis.
As for redemption, the user provides a Lightning Network invoice, and the minting system fetches the current exchange rate from LNMarkets' futures ticker. It then calculates the corresponding US dollar ecash value for the payment quote.
Error messages are a bit all over the place. The documentation itself is not very clear about them, either. I will work to improve them.
#bullishNuts v0.0.68 fixes the issue with receiving ecash (due to the1.0.1 cashu-ts upgrade).

What was the issue?
You don't really need to understand Radios to use them, unlike bitcoin.
This article from the Irish National Propaganda Bureau (RTE) is fucking mind boggling.
The basic thrust of it is:
"Gen Z may benefit from Europe's declining birth rate as there will be fewer young people to inherit houses and more for them to inherit"
Bear in mind that RTE is going to be paid a billion euro over the next couple of years to produce this fucking garbage.

I haven't read the article nor I intend to, but the premise is already wrong.
how do these things work if the price goes further than 100k?
Not been feeling too well, lately.
I investigated this and it seemed to be an error in the client. Like you said it treated the USD amount as if it were SATs. I have published a PR on cashu.me repo that should take care of the issue, but there is not much I can do about minibits.
When Boomer's check out a house for sale on their street in 2024 after buying theirs for $5k in 1975 https://t.co/lzUQQRue34 https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1823514573346902016/pu/vid/avc1/1080x598/2an2efq_g-wU-VTH.mp4?tag=12
And they laugh.
Have you cloned my branch? Last I tried with the entire amount it worked just fine!
Can you DM me with further details?
Nostr can offer a use case of storing ecash somewhere safe where it's much difficult to lose it. This whould make all the wallet recovery shenanigans obsolete.
You can pay any lightning invoice, so yes you can redeem usd e-cash to pay a lightning invoice of a sats mint.
I mean isn't it already happening in the UK? You get jailed for expressing your opinion.
When you present tokens for an amount of 5$, the mint pays you the equivalent amount in sats at the current exchange rate: right now that would be 8217 sats.
