Coincidentally, I’ve been listening to the soundtrack of the movie “The Theory of Everything.” The central lesson from this movie is that it’s possible to continue researching and potentially fall in love even while experiencing physical symptoms of a serious, incurable illness. That’s why I adore this movie so much.

I am certain that there are individuals with more robust physical attributes who have never experienced this issue caused by overworked eyes. I suppose this is my physical limit. It’s not particularly thrilling to discover the physical boundaries that define me. I find it challenging to surpass the capabilities of others who possess stronger bodies.

Because of the double vision and dizziness that accompany this symptom, I’m realizing the gravity of my mistake in not allowing my eyes enough time to recover after squinting all day. I feel terrible for my body. ( ᵕ_ᵕ̩̩ )

실제로 만났을 때는 카메라로 볼 때만큼 날카로운 느낌은 아닌 것 같기는 한데, (실물로 봤을 때는 오히려 좀 예쁜 느낌?) 강철부대에서 카메라에 잡혔을때는 눈매가 날카롭고 체형이 매끈하고 피부가 까무잡잡해서 잘만 연출 하면 되게 괜찮은 그림이 나올 것 같다는 생각이 많이 들기는 했다. (대사 치는 발성은 좀 별로였지만...ㅋㅋ) 막상 스튜디오에서 이것저것 할 때는 생각보다 좀 약한가? 싶기는 했는데, 생각해보면 TV랑 영화는 조금 다르니까... TV 보다는 영화 쪽에 더 맞을지도 모르지 (본인은 아무 관심 없는데 나 혼자 펼쳐 보는 상상의 나래 ㅋㅋㅋ)

아무튼 나는 빨리 한국에서 라이오네스 같은 드라마가 나오기를 바란단 말이야... 조성원이 아니라면 조성원과 필적하는 수준의 사람이라도 캐스팅해서 만들어 주면 좋겠다. 카리스마와 멋쁨을 다 갖춘 여자 배우 너무너무 귀해.

이 시리즈를 제대로 보지는 않았지만, 이런 걸 TV에서 볼 수 있는 시대니까 한국 콘텐츠도 그만큼의 기대를 하면서 보게 되는 게 사실이고, 사실 사이렌이 처음 나올 때까지만해도 여자들만 등장하는 그런 포맷의 서바이벌이 흔치 않았기 때문에 여성 중심 서바이벌을 좋아하는 시청자 위주로 타게팅을 해야만 했다면, 이제는 굳이 여성 중심 시리즈를 좋아하는 시청자 말고 그냥 액션을 좋아하는 시청자들을 공략해서 얼마든지 만들 수 있지 않나 라는 욕심이 좀 생기고. 물론 내가 현업에 있지 않아서 감이 떨어져서 이런 생각을 하는 걸 수도 있지만... 이제는 그 정도가 충분히 되지 않나? 아직 안 되나? 그러고 보니 강철부대W 뒷부분은 다 제대로 보지도 않았네.. 남자 시리즈랑 다르게 여자 시리즈는 사심이 너무 많아서 그런지 오히려 뒷부분에서는 흥미를 잃었는데, 처음에는 그냥 덕질하는 팬의 심정으로 즐겁게 보다가 어느 시점부터는 내가 그렇게 마냥 덕질만 하고 있을 나이가 아니라는 사실을 깨달아서...ㅋㅋ 애초에 타겟 오디언스가 나같은 사람이 아닌데 억지로 끼어들어서 즐긴 것에 가깝기도 했고. 사실 사이렌 볼 때도 그런 느낌이 살짝 들긴 했는데, 그래도 사이렌은 연출이 타겟팅하는 오디언스가 상향지향적이라는 느낌이 들었다면 강철부대는 하향지향적인 느낌이 들어서 내 경험치가 높아질 수록 더 공감하기 어려워지는 콘텐츠라는 인상을 받은 것 같다. 사이렌 볼 때도 조금만 더 건조하게 만들어도 좋을 것 같다는 생각을 많이 했는데, 이런 걸 보면 나는 콘텐츠가 건조하면 건조할 수록 퀄리티가 높다는 평가를 하는 거 같아. 아무래도 건조하게 연출하면 언어도 압축적으로 쓰게 되고 영상 연출도 압축적으로 하기 때문에 생각을 많이 하면서 보게 되고 그게 더 재미가 있어. https://www.instagram.com/p/DDoJWUPzcdc/?igsh=MXl4ZmpvbG5hdW5w

I was reflecting on the moment I first watched that video. It was the end of a very exhausting day of working on my resume to send to my headhunter. It was one of those days. I felt incredibly lonely and isolated as someone who lives under unimaginable pressure due to a challenging living situation where I can’t share many of my feelings and emotions with others. Watching those soldiers who live with confidentiality and take such a stressful environment as normal made my reality a bit easier to accept. I’ve never experienced the military firsthand, but I’m accustomed to living with a heavy sense of pressure on my chest and shoulders. It’s difficult to describe because it’s not like I have clear roles and responsibilities assigned by an organization. It’s still hard for me to articulate what I’m going through.
