I don’t see that when I go into it, and I open the Alby extension while on my profile on primal.net. Is there supposed to be a ‘login’ link anywhere?

Are people getting updated even though they are not on testflight and opted out of updates?

This would have severe security implications and I would like to know if that does happen on iPhone. I have never heard this to happen on Android.

I see no way they can avoid supporting open app install access much longer, I wonder more if it will get them to relax their store guidelines to keep apps on the App Store. They should if they truly cared about user safety.

This is the kind of example people use to say we should never expose any "internal" codes to users because they are dumb and will be frightened, it's not "good UX" and so on.

And yet phone apps do show the number that is calling, even if there is a name associated with it.

And they also show users a giant keypad where users can type numbers directly and -- surprise -- everybody understands and types numbers there all the time! (or at least they did when people used to use telephones.)

If native iOS has a headwind, has friction, just flow around that into the areas of least resistance.

This is amazing given that we are just getting started. Cant wait to see how communities can provide a new dimension to how we organise #nostr communications and content.

Today is a sad day. I gave up on trying to get started with zapping in a self-custodial manner and set it up with WoS, mainly to get a friend setup quickly, too.

Questions: I zapped myself from a test account that uses the same WoS ln address and there on Amethyst, payment failed with WoS but with BlueWallet it worked ... sort of. Now, in Amethyst I see 500sat zapped but on Snort I don't see it when loading and reloading that same note.

Can I receive zaps now or not?

(Also thanks to those who tipped me without the zap that would tell me what it was for. I'm not sure, clients made clear that those zaps would be anonymous.)
