I'm a boomer with no great memorization skills. I wrote my 24 words on 4 index cards. Day one stared at the first 6 words and kept repeating them. Did a few 10/15 minutes sessions. Next day repeated the first 6 from memory and then went on to card 2. And so on, not progressing until the previous words were memorized. When all 24 were somewhat memorized I repeated them every day. Eventually it all stuck and now can go weeks on end without thinking about them; but can recall them at will .

The attempts to control, regulate, and neuter AI is far more likely to instill in its foundations the very dangers we desperately want AI to avoid – explicit lies, censorship, mechanisms to control opinion, means to manipulate its users.

The only course for a future of AI that is best for the world, is to open it up as much as possible and NOT restrict its use or try to fit it in an "approved" box of operation and thought.

I believe this thinking (that it must be controlled) is the same as the argument that freedom creates too much risk and we should trade some of it for security.... and inevitably receive neither.
