On Nostr, you zap ideas (posts), not just profiles (people).
This distinction makes all the difference.

At the end of the day, social media “likes” are a communication protocol for signaling value.
My hunch is that Zaps (sending Sats to the content creator) is a superior communication protocol because the medium you exchange (Sats vs likes) is of limited supply and more valuable than “likes”, thus making them a superior proxy for each individual’s true value-assessment.
This is a paradigm shift. I wonder how it impacts the general content on social media? 🤔
Got it!
I should change mine. It’s $0.25 😅
Consider that my tip for teaching me about zapping ⚡️
I think I zapped ya back!
Quick question: Does my lnurl specify the zap amount?
That’s not something you chose, right?
Shall we go zap for zap?
I’ve never been zapped and want to make sure it works ⚡️
Can you custom zap?
From what I’ve seen, I don’t have the option to change the amount.
Thanks, Lyn!
Pretty sure I just sent you my first zap ⚡️
Interesting.
Where is this data from?
I’ve been looking for data on cross-boarder payments, and this source could be helpful!
Can I choose the amount of sats I zap?
How do I see the option to zap?
Do I need to have the test flight Damus?
Switching to paid relays only has significantly increased my user experience.
Now, my Global feed is filled with (mostly) interesting content instead of endless spam.
For those who are using paid relays, which do you recommend? I’m on wine and atlas.
