Why have you arrived at the conclusion that if somebody knows your name and email you are less free?
The freedom comes from not being locked in to any single client or relay. That same freedom provides you with the ability to use nostr without using Primal.
The strength of the nostr user base is their conviction and passion. The people who stick around here are not leaving. You can’t buy that with paid installs.
I also don't think the people commenting on nostr user growth stats understand the comparables. With consumer apps retaining 3% of your users is good, and 6% is great.
VC funded apps are throwing hundreds of millions towards attracting the attention of tens of millions, in an effort to retain a teeny tiny portion of them. nostr:note19kt3zrgkm9r5wq0p22uara8gf3a5d6mj3wmqw04h6tw84nnz0z5qcc096s
That single bullet which says “stabilizes USD price” needs some more detail on the collateralization mechanics.
Proof there are extremes on both sides.
Ha ha yeah I hear you, but no matter the language - nobody has solved layouts. It’s all DOM like and never easy.
And to all of the recipients of said information… Happy Mother’s Day! We love you. 🤣❤️
If you have ever attempted to build a distributed system that maintains state across a pool of unknown participants - even on a small scale - you would know said cock is just a mechanism for the transfer of information.
Synchronization in nature is bigger than we can conceptualize.
nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s heads up, reactions made in Damus don’t appear in Primal. Using most recent TestFlight. Perhaps related to all the work that’s being done on threading compatibility.
There is no such thing as untrusted.
If nostr succeeds, the concept of measuring the growth of nostr will no longer make sense. Pockets of users will appear and disappear, totally unaware of each other’s existence.
Viewed as a global ledger which has run continuously and precisely for 15 years it is modern marvel. A freakin global state machine.
It’s not a bug necessarily, it’s just that scroll and select both use the same touch surface. Without the ability to use the emoji search you have to scroll a lot so it’s easy to accidentally select something inadvertently.
Awww man, it’s a tombstone 🤣 that was not intentional
lol well I don’t even know what emoji I just reacted to you with. I ❤️ the new selector but man you have to be careful when scrolling.
It does start to build a frequently used cache though which is awesome.
Right, I’m a proud Purple supporter though. Solution was to force close TestFlight if anyone else stumbles upon this.
Mine is still showing removed as well. Did you do anything special to get the new TestFlight link working?
The universal feed in nostr is an illusion. This note is performative. It doesn’t belong here. Someone put it here. Everything is curated.
