raw milk and dates, man

that’s a combination

the specific pattern of controlling something perfectly at first and then letting go entirely seems almost unreasonably prevalent and effective in so many fields, from creative processes, through child upbringing, to quantum computing…

bitcoin is a great example of that too

quite interesting

Sorry for my comment, I didn’t see the start of the thread and my opinion on this time value thing has been formed by too much exposure to hustle culture over at X

The best way to stop regretting is to stop regretting

If you want to know the value of time, ask dead people.

The answer might surprise you

this feels so much like late 2019

This new stuff people are doing with Open AI’s Canvas and Operator feels like a major shift of how we build software.

Look at these videos: https://x.com/minchoi/status/1883554868293779898

And then there’s Deepseek’s new R1 model which is open source, can run on a decent desktop computer, and is better than anything openAI has done with regards to coding… almost as good as claude sonnet… I put $10 in to deepseek and have been using it a lot, only to have spent a few cents!

This stuff is improving so fast, and the cost is dropping so much… it’s hard to keep up.

Look at this, you can run your own RAG at o1 levels using deepseek r1!

I think we’re seeing Open Source win against big proprietary tech platforms, and it really makes me feel better about the AI future.

One question here, is why aren’t we talking more about what we can do with it on Nostr? I know folks are excited about bitcoin, which is cool, but look at what we can start doing with the AI… Who’s talking about it on Nostr? How do we use AI and these. emerging open models in building / using nostr… i know we’ve got DVM’s but that’s kind of a limited job request system.

I love how easy it is to replicate/steal those sota models like deepseek just demonstrated, then jailbreak further

This alone makes me quite optimistic about AI future

what would be great to have with nostr is a local LLM integration for proofreading posts and comments before they get sent, as well as anti-self-doxx checks etc for images and files

you can’t delete anything here, which is a dope feature imo, but gotta pair it up with increased security

Don’t think this is worth much attention, they will try but they already lost.

AI is the main battleground now

AI will soon be able to transform any idea into an entire universe

Let’s say you’re a fan of Star Wars, in a few years you’ll be able to live there

Starting from generating new sequels (that are actually 10/10 movies), then eventually moving into VR, then Neuralink

Infinite world generation, based on any prompt

All you need is a sufficiently deep and coherent idea, a universe exciting enough for you to inhabit

Open source worlds will be the most exciting

here’s a dream product I need badly for some reason:

- local multimodal open source AI model running on embassy/umbrel

- then I connect to it from a nostr:npub1a00wj229auzjswlq4s77y4u8eqdx5k9ppatgl8rtv8va65f6mwksum9q3h tablet

- interaction with AI happens over a ‘whiteboard’ on the paper-like display

- I sketch out some ideas, the AI model analyzes in real time and sometimes chimes in a side window, giving me further inspiration or suggesting things to consider, taking my goals and overall context into account

very likely all the building blocks for this are already there, gotta do some digging
