doesn’t matter how you start, just matters that you start. if you can’t decide on a language, pick an open source project that you use/love and learn whatever language it’s written in. that way, you can start contributing to the project as you learn.

one of the most valuable things we have in github right now are the comments on issues/prs. that historical data would need to come over, ideally preserving the context (i.e lines of code the comment was made on).

also, if nostrgit can be shut down or dos’d, then there’s really no point to move away from github
