GF asked me to check on Twitter 'trending', something I almost never do. So $BTC is trending and the top post is some cryptobro saying 'I'm feeling generous,I'm giving away bitcoins and lambos'. Bloody Hell... how does that go to the top of the feed? With Liz Warren's army of the undead on one hand, and scammer/influencers on the other, I see a tumultuous road ahead.

#co #coffeechain wen sausagechain?

Lyn should be on nostr to post her pieces directly and get zapped like crazy!

Will Microstrategy survive Chokepoint 3.0?

Just d/l’d Tidal and starting a few playlists. The catalog looks good so far… able to dig up a few more obscure favorites.

Question for #[0] - is there any incentive for a radio station that streams online (such as KPIG in NoCal) to also stream and curate on Tidal?

I would pay for that stream (and have in the past). This saves them the expense of maintaining their barely functional phone app.

Truly critical feature IMO. Remember radio DJs before corporate playlists? The artist-DJ-fan-music-lover-buyer relationship was synergistic. This needs to happen again in our open source digital future. Why? Rewards go to the most talented, dedicated, and inspired musicians *and* curators! All need to get the right balance of sats the the satospheric economy.

Never liked it, stopped using mine years ago.

Thanks for amplifying what I’ve been dreaming about for years. Oh yeah, thanks for the sats too!

This looks like an audio editor for collaborative projects? Amirite?

As someone a bit too old to be ‘in a band’ and not quite proficient enough to be a studio musician, I’d find a NOSTR virtual music studio pretty darned appealing.

Man, I love this idea. I have been a Pocket user for years, and often use the text-to-audio feature because the ‘reading’ quality has been good enough, and it is truly useful for catching up with reading while driving, doing chores, walking the dog, whatever.

Now with NOSTR, we can have swarmed & zapped highlights, discussions, curations, and Lord knows what else—all within a complex dance of flowing & flowering sats. It will be glorious and spectacular!

Imagine this, but also for MUSIC! @Wavlake, you paying attention?

The phenomenon you're describing is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. This effect refers to the tendency of people who are less skilled or knowledgeable in a particular area to overestimate their abilities or understanding, while those who are more skilled or knowledgeable tend to underestimate their abilities or understanding.

The Dunning-Kruger effect occurs because people who are less skilled or knowledgeable in a particular area often lack the ability to recognize their own limitations. They may have a limited understanding of the subject, which leads them to believe that they know more than they actually do. In contrast, people who are more skilled or knowledgeable are more likely to recognize the complexity of the subject and the gaps in their own understanding.

Additionally, people who are less skilled or knowledgeable may be overconfident because they are not aware of the vast amount of information and expertise that is required to truly understand a subject. They may believe that their limited understanding is sufficient to make accurate judgments, when in fact they are missing important information that could change their perspective.

It's worth noting that the Dunning-Kruger effect is not always present, and that some people may be aware of their limitations and lack of expertise in a particular area. However, the effect can be particularly pronounced in situations where people are asked to make judgments or decisions outside of their area of expertise. -

That’s at play for sure, but I think a subtle grift permeates always and is amplified to critical levels due to incentives built-into fiat money.
