so, you're a new nostrich that's graduated out of #introductions and now you're looking to learn a bit more about relays. did you know that you can run your own relay? this mediumly simple task allows you to harness the true power of nostr by putting you in charge of your social graph.
what exactly does that mean? it just means that you'll be able to control your social data - your notes, your contacts, your events, all of it. this prevents you from being rugged or censored. this puts you in control. pretty cool, eh?
you have several options and i'll list a few of them here for you:
if you're a bitcoiner, you may be running a "node" at home. if this is the case, then you already have some of the tools available to you. umbrel, mynode, and start9 all offer one click to install solutions for nostr relays.

if you don't have a node or aren't running one of the above platforms, you can get started by installing these operating systems on existing hardware - from used computers, to used laptops, to newly built machines or even raspberry pis.
if you have dedicated hardware and you're a bit on the tech savvy side, you can go a tiny bit deeper and manually install your nostr relay. you can choose between several relay implementations here, such as nostream or strfry.

if you don't have dedicated hardware at home and you're a bit tech savvy, then you'll surely know that you can also buy a virtual server on a cloud provider's infrastructure. the options of providers here are nearly endless.
if all of this seems like a different language for you and seems over your head, but you still want to run a personal relay for yourself, your family, or your local community, have no fear, a solution still exists for you. you can visit a dedicated relay provider and purchase a relay with just a few clicks of a mouse button.

*True story* I used to work as a courier few years back and I delivered a chair to Bank Of England. Had to park up the road, rolled the chair to the building. As I got closer I had bad cramps in my belly and pain peaked on delivery. As I left the building and walked back to my van the pain slowly disappeared. I like to buy things with least money (still need to be good quality, not trash) and then I imprint my own energy on it. I think I get so many head turns for my Z4 not because of the way the car looks, but because of my imprint superimposed.
A Lambo or Ferrari, is cheating, you neglect your own essence, and you ride off the Lambo Ferrari resonance. Buying expensive things, you risk becoming lazy, you risk not amplifying that burning core inside.
Lots of things in life are like my Z4.

Another really good show, thanks Brian. Yeah good advice on staying out of short term trading. Newbies can think they can double triple there money in short time. Its amazing how we pushed to make money quick. Greed takes over. I lost over 12k in 2017 bullrun using leverage. 12k was all the money in the world back then. That really hurt. And it was painful saving and buying back after screwing up big time. I learned from my mistake. With patience you'll more than triple quadruple, and beyond. Over the last few years I learned the power of doing nothing. (Also known as Hodl in bitcoin circles). I tell you man, people underestimate the power of nothing. I've used in work, other aspects of life, health, all sorts. Nothing is seriously underestimated. I'm really surprised no one has written a book on nothing. Im thinking of writing a book with 200 blank pages. In my experience nothing works is the best philosophy to follow!

In bitcoin terminology the hashrate has fallen so much there are hardly any transactions in each block, they may as well be empty. There is "work" involved in proof of work. Embrace it. Imo everyone can experience feel it. They don't acknowledge it because they numb to it. I used to be like that many years ago. Not sure how I snapped out of it. A few experiences that got me to ask the right questions, realised ummm that doesn't add up. Maybe its because we constantly pushed to focus on bs. Its as good as a spell. Never believed in magic but it might as well be real.

Yeah definitely more to the physical we see infront of us. You can't deny what you feel. Its tangible too. Makes me laugh we only have 5 senses. Really? What is a sense?
