Stories like this are the most interesting. The odd moments of being in that environment, such as disabling the firearms.

As someone who's served, my favorite stories to tell, and listen to, are the ones like this. Who's idea was it to bend the barrels? What was the smell like? What model rifle? Etc...

Our unit would turn weapons in, along with other intel. Souvenir collecting was always interesting as you could never guess what kinds of things someone would want to keep to take home with them.

The purpose of what part exactly?

When an Internet user is online, in a web browser, and usually signed into various sites, doing their usual thing, surveillance companies (Google, Apple, Facebook, etc...) are collecting data points.

One of those data points is your browser (Chrome, Firefox) the size, screen resolution, operating system, all this can be taken from your browser fingerprint.

These data points are in the 10s of thousands. So every day, a phone or computer can send out about 50000 data points to these companies, which build a profile about you by linking all these data points together. This data is then sold on the open market.

People who care about their privacy protect themselves from most or all of this surveillance. Browser fingerprinting can be prevented with various tools.

Please share this with anyone you know who wants to protect their privacy and security, or reach out to us directly for more help.

The real discussion is if tattoo artists perform their craft, and are compensated, do they still have rights to the art on another's skin afterwards? If you purchase an original canvas piece, and then host a party and charge admission to view art that you paid for...is the original artist entitled to a cut of that income?

It may be generally believed that law should be simple enough so as not to require an entire profession simply for the interpretation of it.

Why is the law so complex so as to created indebted students to pursue a commodity profession?

It is not a law if it is open to interpretation.

It is odd to put WhatsApp and Signal into the same category.

WhatsApp is part of Facebook, a surveillance company that invades privacy. Signal is a communication company, that respects privacy.

As a Veteran, with boots on the ground combat experience, I have to ask why Americans scrutinize Musk as if he were an actual military commander, engaged in warfare.

France has a clear and obvious need to educate citizens on using VPN...

Why are people still working for these companies? FUD.

Technology experts often face a compelling choice: to remain within big companies or venture out to start their own businesses. Several reasons support the notion that more tech experts should consider entrepreneurship:

1. **Innovation Freedom:** Independent businesses provide tech experts with the freedom to pursue their innovative ideas without the constraints of corporate bureaucracy. This flexibility can lead to groundbreaking solutions.

2. **Ownership and Control:** Starting a business grants individuals ownership and control over their projects, fostering a deeper sense of responsibility and motivation to succeed.

3. **Monetary Potential:** Successful tech startups can yield substantial financial rewards. Entrepreneurs can benefit from the potential for significant returns on their investments and hard work.

4. **Solving Real Problems:** Independent businesses can be driven by a genuine desire to address pressing issues or unmet needs, allowing tech experts to make a meaningful impact on society.

5. **Economic Growth:** Entrepreneurship contributes to economic growth by creating jobs and driving innovation, making it a valuable endeavor for both individuals and society.

However, entrepreneurship also involves risks, including financial uncertainty and increased responsibilities. Tech experts should carefully weigh their aspirations and consider the support networks available, such as incubators and accelerators, before making the leap into entrepreneurship. Ultimately, this decision should align with their personal goals, values, and ambitions.

Best to get off Mastodon altogether.

In our humble opinion, node operation will get easier because of technology advancement. This means storage space (of the blockchain) and processor performance.

Miners are different. The most profitable time periods (in USD terms) are past us.

In many subcultures, particularly those related to technology, gaming, or underground communities, some of the most significant progress often emerges from the undocumented exploits. These undocumented exploits, also known as "zero-days," refer to vulnerabilities or techniques that are not officially documented, recognized, or sanctioned by authorities, organizations, or mainstream participants. Several factors contribute to the significance of these undocumented exploits:

Innovation and Discovery: Undocumented exploits represent uncharted territories where creative individuals push the boundaries of what is known or allowed. They foster a spirit of exploration and discovery, driving subcultures forward.

Counterculture Spirit: Subcultures often thrive on non-conformity and resistance to mainstream norms. Undocumented exploits symbolize a rebellious streak, challenging established rules and pushing the envelope.

Knowledge Sharing: The act of discovering and sharing undocumented exploits is a form of knowledge dissemination within subcultures. It fuels learning and collaboration among enthusiasts who are eager to experiment and build upon these discoveries.

Adaptation and Evolution: Subcultures that engage with undocumented exploits tend to evolve rapidly. This adaptability allows them to stay ahead of the curve, particularly in fields like hacking, where security measures are in constant flux.

People hack to improve or tinker with systems that require enhancement or are fundamentally flawed for several reasons.

1. **Innovation and Creativity:** Hacking can be driven by a desire to find novel solutions to problems. Hackers often possess innovative thinking and enjoy the challenge of devising better ways of doing things.

2. **Problem-Solving:** Hacking allows individuals to address issues or vulnerabilities that organizations may not have the resources or inclination to fix promptly. By exposing weaknesses, hackers can spur necessary improvements.

3. **Transparency and Accountability:** Hacking can be a means of holding entities accountable. Exposing flaws or security breaches can force organizations to take responsibility for their negligence and implement necessary changes.

4. **Learning and Skill Development:** Hacking provides an avenue for individuals to develop and hone their technical skills. By dissecting systems, hackers gain a deeper understanding of how they work and can contribute to their improvement.

5. **Ethical Hacking:** Ethical hackers, also known as "white hat" hackers, work to improve security by identifying vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them, helping organizations preemptively address weaknesses.

While hacking can have negative connotations due to malicious activities, it also serves as a catalyst for progress, offering opportunities for constructive change and innovation in the digital realm.

Why is anyone still using Windows?

In 2023, the continued usage of Windows by many individuals and organizations may indeed seem perplexing to some, given the availability of alternative operating systems that offer distinct advantages. Windows has faced criticism for its occasional stability issues, susceptibility to malware, and forced updates.

Competing operating systems like Linux and macOS often excel in areas of security, customization, and efficiency. Linux, in particular, boasts an open-source environment and a vast array of free software options. macOS is lauded for its sleek design and seamless integration within the Apple ecosystem.

Yet, inertia, familiarity, and software compatibility remain significant factors. Many users and organizations have established workflows and dependencies on Windows-exclusive applications. Transitioning to a new OS can entail a steep learning curve and costly software migration. Consequently, the perceived convenience of Windows, despite its flaws, continues to anchor its presence in the digital landscape.

Relying on Meta and Google while seeking to protect your privacy can be seen as hypocritical, as these companies thrive on the collection and utilization of user data. Use neither.

As real estate investors, and providers of information and guidance...we agree that the system is broken.

A real estate agent that suggests venmo or zelle is likely an inexperienced (<5 years) agent that is just trying to survive.

Real estate is one of those (at least in America) government sponsored/subsidized industries that will be the LAST to adopt a technology like blockchain.

It is out of the reach of most real estate investors, but if you work entirely in the private realm, you can use blockchain for everything.

It is when you introduce mainstream intermediaries like real estate agents, traditional banks, government backed mortgages,e tc. that you have to revert back to using earlier technology and communication.

We're available if you want to purchase or sell real estate using the latest methods.
