Paid!

I already prefer nostr to Twitter when it comes to following bitcoiners. My guess is that major influencers will not be so keen to join us here, as it would mean giving up their large follower base, or at least risking it.
However, I find I'm still using Twitter to read posts of others I follow - in the realm of geopolitics and broader freedom issues.
Absolutely. Right now we are only witnessing the early adopter phase of its potential. I'm quite convinced we will see mind-bending improvements and additions going forward, due to the fact development in this space is permissionless - as it should be.
Sorry you missed out. But fear not, there will be other opportunities into the future.
What makes nostr come alive is its seamless integration with Lightning, enabling instant and virtually free transactions between all users. This adds a dynamic that is addictive and further draws in new users.
Done!

Thanks for that!
I'm finding Iris is my first choice, although I also use snort and damus
I have experienced some of what you're saying, so thanks for the explanation. As a Mac user I find myself preferring the way Iris looks and works, so it's my preferred nostr client.
I'm so excited by nostr's potential that I've decided to give 5000 sats to 100 plebs on this platform, in celebration of the arrival of a truly decentralised social network - a game changer for sure.
If you'd like to claim your 5000 sat share of this 500,000 sat total, to enable to you more fully participate in the experience nostr offers via its Lightning-capable features, simply do the following:
Reply to this message with your Lightning Address - which looks like a regular email address and is NOT an invoice. For example, my own lightning address is mcjazz@getalby.com
If your wallet is not able to provide you with such an address, go to the website below for a full list of lightning address capable wallets and choose one.
Wallet of Satoshi is a quick and easy choice, but there are many others.
The first 100 people to reply, with a valid Lightning Address, will each receive 5000 sats. However, if you post an invoice, sorry but you won't receive any sats.
If you want to thank me later, you can follow me. π
What you waiting for? Go ahead and reply with your Lightning Address now!
I find that the global feed on iris is the least cluttered.
If it was 50 sats, it was likely me testing my alby wallet integration with snort. π
