Most people don’t understand that it isn’t just “hyperactivity” or a “lack of focus”, but rather an intensity dysregulation.

But, if you have ADHD, the only real way to curb this kind of mentality is by changing habits. Learn to analyze the thought process that leads to the spiral, and counteract it. I speak from experience.

Quite literally, replace the negativity with positivity. When your brain says “they hate me”, or “you’re not good enough”, learn to pivot your thought process to all of the positive moments and interactions that challenge that worry.

It takes time and it’s not easy, but behavioral changes start from within.

I’m not a disciplined person. I still have a hard time forcing myself to do anything on a regular basis. But, if I can start to figure it out and take the first steps, so can you.
