We need a nostragram
Is there anyone or any group that has identified a road map of some sort of how self custody needs to improve to be more accessible?
Are there any games built on NOSTr?
I watched The Predator today (the film was made in 2018). It was not good. Here is an example of how laughably bad it was:
Early in the film, one of bad guys that isn't the predator speculates (with a significant amount of confidence) that the predators are harvesting human DNA to splice into their own so they can move to earth after humans go extinct in two generations because of global warming.
I laughed out loud.
It's a sad reminder that most modern films are nothing more than the "current thing" propaganda.
I wager that this has always been the case in some way, but it has never been so obvious as it has in the last 10 years.
I can't remember who posted it, but fairly recently someone opined that Nostr should focus on serving the need of their current userbase. Which are predominantly Bitcoiners (I don't have figure, but this seems to be the case to me).
Wish list: coracle direct links work in most contexts, but boy are they long. This is a problem when posting them to, e.g. SMS.
The satellite.earth client has much shorter direct links. I'm guessing they use a hash, or possibly a database with random ids.
An example of a satellite.earth direct link:

Of course, given the nature of Nostr, I can post with Coracle, and then get a direct link from satellite.earth.
Would it be possible to somehow encode the list of relays into some sort of hash (not the word I am looking for, as I currently understand hashes are one way)
Merry Christmas.
If this is not a holiday for you:
Happy Monday!
I know I should stop making assumptions and pretending to know other people's minds.
Although I don't feel it is a stretch to think that my experience will be similar to others.
I don't think a lot of people are ready to be on a network where they aren't the product. Some times on here I feel at a loss because I am not being spoon-fed stuff to consume. It such a weird feeling.
I'm getting better, but there is a definite adjustment period.
I probably would've gone through this faster if I had stayed on here for the entirety of the year.
It's sane. I think on every level. Protocol to People (usually, I have been fortunate to not encounter many loons, if any, so far)
Plus I want to build something for it.
What would the world look like Google changed a fee per query to use their search?
Instead of their current model.
I don't fully understand these tools yet. If that wasn't obvious.
Would it be possible to build a client AND relay that run on a handheld device? Built on an esp32 or Raspberry Pi Zero?
A relay that is a relay for other relays?
NVK recently mentioned an idea on the Thank God for Nostr podcast about a relay that was also a client.
A relay that offers a premium sub. Subscribers get priority for note retrieval?
I am probably not understanding completely the tech.
I don't know how people feel about the ethics of that.
The thing I do like about social media / nostr is that you can review yourself and notice how much of a shithead you've been.
If I have been a shithead to you: I am sorry. I will do better.
Anyone running any LLM models locally? I am curious about hardware specs.
Regarding the people that work in places like the EU commission. I used to think these types had no principles. This is untrue, they absolutely do. Their principles are just different. Terrible and evil, but different.
Answer:
Basically UX (user experience) that tricks people
What the hell is a dark pattern?
