One of the most interesting aspects of learning late in life you grew up in a cult is you realize you know how cults work and can recognize them with ease.

I have been reading a writer named Albert Jay Nock. One of his essay's is The Decline of Conversation.

The general idea in it is that you can tell how mature a civilization is by their ability to converse.

DLC stands for Discreet Log Contacts. A simple explanation of this, as I currently understand, is it's a way for 2+ parties to exchange money based on the outcome of some event.
