Is anything stopping a whale from setting the price wherever he likes by selling to himself through exchanges?
Since Bitcoin has a fixed rate of supply, there's no counterbalance to offset price swings due to changes in apparent demand.
Curious: Is there anything stopping a whale from selling to himself for waaay above index price to pump it?
A market determined rate of supply would +/- with demand, stabilizing the price, but Bitcoin opted for a centrally planned rate of supply, artificially fixed in advance, so I can't see any stabilizing mechanism.
Nostr would be the most unsuitable place to have a session. Unless you want the session permanently tied to your pubkey in plain text on untold numbers of public folders.
Imagine you believed in 1 more shitcoin than you do.
Now scroll the feed.
This place is overrun with Bitcoin ads, Lightning ads and flashy Internet panhandling links.
And I've been to Bitcoin conferences, imagine how the normies see it!
Excuse me? If Nayib Bukele bought his first BTC today he could buy almost 2x more, he's down 43%. Saylor is down $1BN. What deflation, where? Who has seen a net increase vs. the USD? Nobody I know of. Careful shilling your "deflationary" claim to your friends and family. Think they're going to outperform Saylor and Bukele?
No competition to these graphs :D hahaha wow
Imagine you believed in 1 more shitcoin than you do. Now imagine scrolling your public feed.
And still was more deflationary than Bitcoin ;)
I'm neither. Guess thats an unfollow :p
Know any who aren't shilling Bitcoin and Zaps 24/7? Need to clean my Following feed of ads.
They will own nothing, and be happy.
Real estate survives and predates the electricity grid and Internet access, and will outlive them all in various times and places.
What argument did you forget to present for why it's SoV will shrink over time?
Very cool! You have our IP's anyway, may as well keep it in the family!
If costs are not wild (but I expect they are) proxying media posted from other websites would keep our metadata all in-house and I wouldn't use another client.
Why does each Satoshi have a unique snail trail recording its entire history, then?
A unique history is even 'better' than a serial number. Satoshis were never meant to be fungible, most just haven't figured that out yet.

School is dead. Not a single student can do math at grade level at 52 Illinois schools. English not much better.
"Take Spry, for example. Just 2 of the school’s 127 students in 2019 could read at grade level before the pandemic. In math, zero students were proficient.
The failure isn’t about money, either. Data from the Illinois State Board of Education shows spending at Spry was already at $20,000 per student before the pandemic. Today it spends $35,600."
